Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum and faculty members are excellent in our college. All faculty members of the mathematics department are very kind and helpful. They are always ready to help us in need. I chose the course because I had a deep interest in the field of mathematics and wants to pursue higher education after graduation. The student-to-faculty ratio is 100:15 or 3:20. Every faculty is a master in there field and even 3 -4 are doctorate. Term exams are semesters wise where you need to give a total of 6 semesters and question levels are average to easy ones mostly asked from the previous year.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement in our college is restricted to some courses only like BCom honours and mathematical sciences. all courses don't get College placements but can apply outside the college for placements and internships. basically from the 5th-semester students get eligible for placements. As I belong to the mathematics society so almost no placement comes for our course from my friends I go to know the highest placement offered to them was 4.5 lpa and students are eligible for placements only if they don't have backlogs mostly 20 to 30% of students get College placements. I pursued mathematics honours since I have an interest in the research field and want to do a master's after my graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure in our college is very low as compared to different Delhi universities .our college had fees for the first year 12000 then for the second year 10000 and for the third year-round proximately 8900, while other universities charged more than 20000 per year. The opportunity for scholarships comes in every semester as well as every year based on the category you belong to. you may apply based on the eligible conditions also it is observed that students with good academic marks in class 12th students have higher chances of getting a scholarship. names of scholarships are not important as mostly the scholarship are government aided also some scholarships are given by the college itself which can be taken advantage of.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at the campus is better but not that much good as other Delhi universities because our college is on campus and the location doesn't have much access to clubs and bars but still, you may visit the Vegas Mall which is closest to our college social life in our college is average to good. The infrastructure of our college is top class and comes in top of all Delhi universities free Wi-Fi for students all rooms and halls are air-conditioned and good ventilation systems are provided to the students by the college. The annual fest happens in the month of March it is basically for only ddu students. Course books and journals are always available in the college library and you can access them anytime basic amenities in the college like 24-hour water supply free Wi-Fi student books auditorium access to societies. Sports and extracurricular activities in our college are not well supported and unorganised which needs improvement many of our sports have no coach and the ground is also not present. A society like SRC, NSS

Admission

At our time admission process was based on cutoffs released by Delhi University for different courses and different rounds used to happen but now they have introduced CUET where you have to give entrance exams to get your desired college and course. Eligibility for different courses varied by percentage for example if you want to opt for BSc Hons mathematics then the Highest cutoff released was 99.99% and the lowest was 95%. You can find the application form and fees on the Delhi University website. I haven't availed of any reservation benefits but still, I have a little bit of knowledge about it as you can easily get into your desired college and course if you scored low in your academics. Also during your course, you get many scholarship benefits from the government if belong to different categories. Even after graduation, you get priority on government jobs and various other examinations. Improvement I would like to bring on the admission process is nothing as everything works fine as expected for

I will rate 10 out of 7 to this course curriculum because in this course the experiment and lab works is too low as compare to another courses like biomedical science, bsc zoology and many more. But it's ok I'm happy with this course.

Students become eligible for placements on the 3rd year, we have decent placement opportunities but not the best, highest package is around 15 lakhs. Companies that visit are Bain and Co., Urban Clap etc. average package is around 5 lakhs. My plans after getting the degree are getting into a master's programme and pursuing research.
