Dislikes

Rigour- sometimes it gets a little tiring
Stress- you need to have stress management skills in order to sustain
Time passes too early here. You should try to make most out of your b-school life.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course provides a wholesome experience of all the domains, the student-teacher ratio is enough for a student to feel guided throughout the curriculum. Professors are deeply passionate about teaching. Exam time is a little rigorous.

Placement Experience

Our college has 100% placements, with amazing companies coming for domains like sales and marketing, operations, and finance. College helps the students in preparing dilligently for the entire process as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

IIM Raipur has the least fees among all new IIMs, there are scholarships available for meritorious students. At the same time, many live projects and internships help students in managing their expenses.

Campus Life

There are various clubs and committees that keep students busy throughout college life. The students run these bodies and make sure everyone is being heard. Classrooms have ACs and smart boards.

Hostel Facilities

At IIM Raipur we have single rooms with attached washrooms, hostels have radiant cooling feature. There is a sports complex that includes swimming pool, badminton, yoga and a gym. Meal is satisfactory to sustain.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

IIM Raipur is a part of CAP Colleges, so it has a PI round, which was held online for our batch. The overall admission process is quite smooth but competitive at the same point in time. The final selection depends upon your overall profile.

Interview Experience

The interview questions revolved around my profile. So they asked questions about economics, physical education and leadership. Overall the panel was extremely welcoming. I prepared for these rounds just by using my study material and the news.

SIMER: A first batch student's Journey and how it became a Launchpad for my career

Placement Experience:

We were appearing for the placement process from the 4th Semester, however, our batch was being prepared for the placement process from day 1. The first placement process that I appeared for was for Shriram Transport Finance in feb 2008. A few common recruiters who came for our batch were HDFC Bank, Shriram Transport Finance, CIPLA, Naukri.com, Indiabulls Vandana Ispat etc. One of the offers that I had from HDFC bank and the CTC offered b HDFC bank was 300000. Our complete batch was having a offer , some of us had 1 offer and some of us had many , I had offer from India Bulls, Shriram transport Finance and HDFC Bank I joined HDFC bank after getting my degree.

SIMER- a journey to remember

Placement Experience:

In first year for internship program college only provide us opportunities. I got selected in three different companies for summer internship program which was paid. Then for final placement we experienced best support from placement cell. There was 25 companies for 60 students. I got selected for 5 different companies. I joined the best one.

Remarks:

Eligibility of course is depend on your CAT percentile and your past experience and academics. You can find application form in IIM website and application fees is 1200 and date would be in August to October. Reservation is based on caste and physical condition. IIM Raipur in nutshell

Admission through CAT MBA Entrance Exam followed by GDPI. There are different cut-off lists declared on the basis of category reservation. For example, the highest cut off like in my case will always be for general engineer males followed by general engineer females and so on.
