Course Curriculum Overview

As an arts background student, when I entered IIM Raipur I thought it would be difficult for me to sustain but the course curriculum is so dynamic and vast and the faculty members make it so easy for you to understand things that you're very new at. The course consists of HR, OPs, IT, FINANCE, and MARKETING subjects.

Internships Opportunities

IIM Raipur witnessed 100% summer internships this year where 109 companies participated out of which 41 are new recruiters the median package is of INR 150000 and the highest package received is INR 350000.

Placement Experience

The batch of 21-23 witnessed 100% final placements, while the batch of 22-24 also witnessed 100% summer internship placements. The average package of batch 21-23 is INR 21.04 LPA and the highest package that the institution witnessed is INR 67.60 LPA.

Campus Life

Campus life at IIM Raipur is amazing, exciting, and socially cheerful. Here we celebrate each and every festival at the campus be it Holi, Pongal, Diwali, and whatnot. with that, we have a gym, swimming pool, badminton courts, 24/7 shop where you can eat at night as well.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility of IIM Raipur consists of 5 building - H1, H2, H3, H4, and H5 which is present inside the campus only where all the seniors and juniors live. The rooms at each hostel building are for single occupancy with attached bathrooms. There's a mess also which provides 4 meals a day to all the students and the food quality is good.

Hostel Fee: INR 15000 per year

Admission

The admission process consists of CAT (common entrance exam) which you have to give and after you get the result on the basis of the same you get the CAP( common admission process) shortlist. The shortlist criteria for the general category are sectional - 75 percentile and overall - 92 percentile.

SIMER: A first batch student's Journey and how it became a Launchpad for my career

Placement Experience:

We were appearing for the placement process from the 4th Semester, however, our batch was being prepared for the placement process from day 1. The first placement process that I appeared for was for Shriram Transport Finance in feb 2008. A few common recruiters who came for our batch were HDFC Bank, Shriram Transport Finance, CIPLA, Naukri.com, Indiabulls Vandana Ispat etc. One of the offers that I had from HDFC bank and the CTC offered b HDFC bank was 300000. Our complete batch was having a offer , some of us had 1 offer and some of us had many , I had offer from India Bulls, Shriram transport Finance and HDFC Bank I joined HDFC bank after getting my degree.

SIMER- a journey to remember

Placement Experience:

In first year for internship program college only provide us opportunities. I got selected in three different companies for summer internship program which was paid. Then for final placement we experienced best support from placement cell. There was 25 companies for 60 students. I got selected for 5 different companies. I joined the best one.

Remarks:

Eligibility of course is depend on your CAT percentile and your past experience and academics. You can find application form in IIM website and application fees is 1200 and date would be in August to October. Reservation is based on caste and physical condition. IIM Raipur in nutshell

Admission through CAT MBA Entrance Exam followed by GDPI. There are different cut-off lists declared on the basis of category reservation. For example, the highest cut off like in my case will always be for general engineer males followed by general engineer females and so on.
