Course Curriculum Overview

I've chosen this course so that it could help me in my UPSC PREPARATION. And I was impressed by the faculties of PGDAV COLLEGE for this course. They not only teach you regarding the exam perspective but develops mental thinking which not only helps us in UPSC but in our life too. Although there are many students in our batch. But all the faculties of our department are really good. The classes are much smaller as we have many students in our batch but it is much worth it as we are having teachers who helped us in developing our minds and motivate us.

Class Size: 144Course Fees: INR 13000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Well the fee for this course at PGDAV COLLEGE isn't much. It's approx. 13k per annum. Many scholarships and financial assistance were also provided by our college but I didn't avail any of them as these should be avail by the needy ones.

Campus Life

AROHANA- Annual Fest conducted by our college. And it was recently been conducted in FEBRUARY 2023. In this fest, many cultural activities were taken place. Competitions were also there with cash rewards. Dj night was conducted in this fest which was so amazing. The most amazing thing about our college is THE LIBRARY. Our college is DU's Biggest Library as it has more than 1 lakh books. In my free time, I used to read the magazine there which is mostly for UPSC i.e. YOJANA, KURUKSHETRA, DOWN TO EARTH, etc. There are many societies in our college in which we can participate. And sports and extracurricular activities are also there. Many informative seminars and webinars are conducted.

Admission

Well in my time, there was no entrance exam so I don't know much about the entrance exam of the NEP. You can register the application form for DU at the DU portal. And the fee structure is also given there at the DU portal only.

One of my friend suggested me that the faculty for the course I opt for is much better in Pgdav rather than RLA

Actually the 3 discipline core subjects are truly important and relevance to my course. However the skill enchantment course and value addition course, even EVS taught this semester barely helps. That sometimes even felt like a burden. Still choosing the right GE, major is useful. I enjoy that... going through.

Reality Check

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in theoretical subjects. Even in my school time, I liked theory subjects more than practical or numerical subjects. This is one of the reason I chose this specific course. Another reason is that I like reading non fictional novels. At the age of 15, I started reading novels but after diving into this course I'm liking the fictional novels too. I don't think this course needs to improve anything. It is in it's best form at the point.

MY COLLEGE - HEAVEN AND HELL

Placement Experience:

I think students become eligible for campus placements in 5th semester as now they are mature enough to be given such responsibility and to secure their future. I am not aware about the number of companies and offers. I am also not aware about the highest or lowest package offered but the average package for my college is ?6.5 lakhs per annum. The cgpa should be above 7.5 for better chances of getting placements. My plan is to get a good college placement in starting of the 5th semester.

I find thr course curriculum quite relevant. Geography is a very dynamic and practical subject and our course is designed that way to provide students a comprehensive knowledge of the course. Course Curriculum Overview:

I knew a senior already and asked her about the college she said teaching staff is good for which I can totally agree..there are a lot of assignments and stuff but at last it's helpful helps to gain exposure, knowledge and experience If you participate in all the activities which happend then it will be really good and helpful But the syllabus is very vast and with activities and assignment it gets stressful For the first year first sem it was very hectic as the exams were in really few gap but it was fine in second sem It is advised to try to study side by side atleast a little bit

St Stephens obviously as for Science, its one of the best DU college. The cut-offs on which the admission matters had a massive difference in the kind of marks i had vs the actual cut-off of St Stephens.
