Dislikes
- Our batch was assigned a series of guest teachers due to shortage of professors and therefore we had a hard time learning certain subjects. The college seems to have worked upon this issue after multiple complaints and the newer batch has good profe
Course Curriculum Overview
The course of comp sci hons is detailed with all the valid subjects included- cpp, discrete structures, DSA, OS, networking. In addition, we also have discipline-specific elective subjects like android, web, R prog, machine learning, AI etc
Internships Opportunities
You can work under teachers as a research scholar but that requires you to have pre-knowledge of the domain you're trying to research. Apart from academia and research, the college doesn't provide many internship opportunities. You will have to look on your own for such prospects on your own
Placement Experience
Placements are rare since not a lot of students sit for jobs after their bachelor's. Although we do have a placement cell and it's an active cell bringing quite a lot of opportunities. Job placements range around 2-3 LPA with a few exceptions (8-10LPA) packages
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship is not provided on a merit basis. It is provided on basis of family income and other benchmarks. One can avail of multiple scholarships at once and the college sends notices about the same whenever an opportunity arises.
Campus Life
Owing to the covid, campus life initially wasn't up to the mark. However, now that it's been a year, campus life is great. The college is always brimming with some or other event happening somewhere in the building, each day. There are numerous clubs and students take part frequently in outings. The college also organises multiple trips (one day as well as longer trips). There are annual magazines and annual productions from each society. There are frequent sports tournaments happening (even though small scale). Overall, campus life is good, it's a DU campus vibe.
Admission
Before Nep2020, the admission process is based entirely on the board exam score AISSCE. DDUC has a cutoff of 100% in the first phase and thereupon it was reduced to 96% in the last admission phase. Following nep2020, admission is now based on CUET(a nationalised exam for entering delhi university)
