I chose BA English Hons because of the many opportunities ahead with the subject. The faculty here in the college is amazing as they are selected by the DU administration. We have semester exams in every 6 months and if studied well it's easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities

You'll get internship opportunities if you join the internship cell of the college but as I am not part of the cell I will not be able to talk about it properly. You'll get the internship opportunity based on your courses.

Placement Experience

The college has its placement cell and if you join the cell you get many placement opportunities with a decent package according to your course. My plans after getting the degree are to go for LLB from the Delhi university itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study here is very affordable as it's a government college. There are many government-based scholarships available if searched online or asked in the principles office. Jobs depend on the course you have selected as colleges provide different BA and BCom courses.

Campus Life

The college provides an amazing infrastructure with two sports grounds one for football and cricket and the other for all the fests college organizes. A basketball and volleyball court is also available. Gym and table tennis is also provided for the students. All the clubs and groups in the college are run by students for eg. Navrang and Spunk.

Admission

The admission process was smooth as butter. The application form was easily available on DU's website. Admission was based on the class 12th percentage. Since the college falls under South Campus the cut-off was decent.

Actually the 3 discipline core subjects are truly important and relevance to my course. However the skill enchantment course and value addition course, even EVS taught this semester barely helps. That sometimes even felt like a burden. Still choosing the right GE, major is useful. I enjoy that... going through.

Reality Check

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in theoretical subjects. Even in my school time, I liked theory subjects more than practical or numerical subjects. This is one of the reason I chose this specific course. Another reason is that I like reading non fictional novels. At the age of 15, I started reading novels but after diving into this course I'm liking the fictional novels too. I don't think this course needs to improve anything. It is in it's best form at the point.

MY COLLEGE - HEAVEN AND HELL

Placement Experience:

I think students become eligible for campus placements in 5th semester as now they are mature enough to be given such responsibility and to secure their future. I am not aware about the number of companies and offers. I am also not aware about the highest or lowest package offered but the average package for my college is ?6.5 lakhs per annum. The cgpa should be above 7.5 for better chances of getting placements. My plan is to get a good college placement in starting of the 5th semester.

I knew a senior already and asked her about the college she said teaching staff is good for which I can totally agree..there are a lot of assignments and stuff but at last it's helpful helps to gain exposure, knowledge and experience If you participate in all the activities which happend then it will be really good and helpful But the syllabus is very vast and with activities and assignment it gets stressful For the first year first sem it was very hectic as the exams were in really few gap but it was fine in second sem It is advised to try to study side by side atleast a little bit

St Stephens obviously as for Science, its one of the best DU college. The cut-offs on which the admission matters had a massive difference in the kind of marks i had vs the actual cut-off of St Stephens.
