IITD provides with massive opportunity which helps one grow.
It is a great university when academics is concerned.
Events, Infrastructure, faculty members, etc everything is good.

Dislikes

IITD can do a better job in placement of non-engineers.
Hostels are good but the food provided in their mess could have been better.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty members are extremely supportive and highly knowledgeable. A person who is willing to learn can get the best support and guidance from the professors. Most of the faculty members have done their Philosophy in a doctorate from renowned universities around the world under highly skilled mentors and professors.

Class Size: 68Course Fees: INR 800000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fee structure is around Rs. 80,000 for 2 years (excluding the hostel and mess charges). Scholarships can be availed based on the performance of the student. A certain grade is required to get the scholarship.

Campus Life

There are many clubs in the university that one can become a part of. Various and frequent events are organized throughout the year which helps in the overall development of a student and helps to inculcate values that cannot be provided by academic books. The annual fest of IITD, Rendezvous, hosts a number of competitional and non-competitional events engaging nationwide participation followed by pronites, after each day, which brings out artists from various cultures on the stage.

Admission

I had cracked Joint Admission for Masters (JAM) to get into IIT Delhi. JAM is an All-India test conducted by different IITs to get admission into various IITs and NITS for the master's program. The exam can be for Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, etc. depending on what course you are willing to take up.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered but I am still in my first year so I have no idea. Students usually go for higher studies (PhD) after master's. Clearing entrances becomes a task. They d offer campus placements it's not that intense as it should be.

The students become eligible for placements in the last semester. Primal Group, Allen Career Institute, Akash Institute, etc a lot of companies came for placement. This is a time of recession. So, very few students get placements. My plan is to join the coaching industry as a teacher after my degree.

I chose chemistry because when I was 12, I was fond of chemistry. I found it more interesting than physics. All I want to say is - C for colourful H for high in demand E for eagerness always M for mysterious I for interesting all-time in all moods S for symbolic T for table R for rhythmic Y for youthfulness Faculty: students - 3:5 Almost all of the professors have completed their postdoc from foreign and have a lot of experience in the teaching field. This time it is a bit hectic bcz of 2 minors and 1 major but I am happy with this.

Good to excellent

Placement Experience:

From final year onwards students become eligible for placements. There are lot of companies like Accenture, flipkart, Amazon, HSBC, etc which offer 5-10 students. The highest package was 50lakhs -1Cr and average is 9- 15 LPA. Usually much students get placed from our college. But this year the percentage is very low could be due the firing of freshers and fear of corporate companies to hire freshers. I Will go for the placements which is still going ( second season ).

Internships and Oppurtunities

The eligibility for the course is JEE Advanced and cutoff for JEE Advanced is JEE Mains exam. Also, you must have 75% or above in class 12 board examinations. The cutoff for my branch was around 1900 rank. The application form can be found on jeeadv.ac.in and the form costed around 2900 rupees. Honest life at IITD

To be eligible for the B Tech programme in IITD you've to qualify for JEE Adv. The cutoff varies from year to year. Seats are allotted on the basis of the ranks secured by the students in jee adv exam. Once the results are out you've to go through the josaa counselling for which you have to pay.
