Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I chose this course because I wanted to prepare for UPSC and By opting BA Programme in History & Political Science it helped me a lot in clearing all the basic knowledge of the subjects. The faculty Student ratio was 100:1 or 60:1 sometimes because of the extra strength of students. All the faculty members are well-qualified Ph.D. scholars. But their teaching methods are not as per the expectations of the Delhi University north campus faculty. Because of the covid era, we gave open book examinations in our 1st and 3rd semesters which was more than easy.

Fees and Financial Aid

No fees for all the Delhi university colleges are very reasonable. But there are some cons also like they charge too much extra money in the name of Society funds even if the student is not interested in joining any society they still have to submit society funds as it is inclusive of the total fees of the year. If you're eligible for the scholarship then you'll definitely get full or maybe half refunds depending upon the different firms providing different policies to the students.

Campus Life

3.5

In online mode, there was no such sports activity even societies were also running online. But after coming into the college students thyself build a sports society or you say the department of physical education with one two teacher conveners. The Adventure Society ( Escapade also organizes the annual Marathon & some other sports competitions under the series of JOSH. The hostel also organizes an annual sports day).

Admission

Eligibility of the course was nothing but 92% in the 12th boards which were as per the very first cut-off list in the general category. That time there was no Cuet test so we took the admission under a merit-based provision. Yes, there were many perks for reversed category candidates that only need to secure 60% (SC, ST) to get eligible for admission in dduc BA Program course.

Other Applied Colleges

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College | Bachelor of Arts [BA]

Because of the college's infrastructure. Yes this was the major factor. And also the college is situated near gurugram haryana so it was as per my convenience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose political science because i want to go for government exams and political science is an important subject for clearing government exams As per my info, my curriculum is very close to syllabus for exams like UPSC and SSC For improving teaching methods, projectors should be installed and implemented as it helps us to understand and see it more better The frequency of exam is twice a year as semester exam, and exam is not very tough nor too easy, it is medium level that anyone can score good marks if studied well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Regarding course curriculum, I am not satisfied the additional courses like SAC, VAC, AEC have no purpose, they are just a headache which makes it difficult for students to focus on the main subjects, although I am in favour of GE subjects. The marking scheme of 90 marks written paper and 70 marks for internal is also great. Apart from this talking about political science honours curriculum, I will say it is pretty great, there are difficult concepts and bulky material to study from but it could be improved by reducing the weight/ pressure put up by other subjects- sec,vac...

Companies visit are often at our college like Deloitte, wipro , Infosys , KPMG etc but options are wide only for commerce background students they are limited for arts faculty students like me. Highest package is about 6 to 7 lpa while most of the package ranges between 4 to 6 lpa percentage of students getting are average and they are mostly from comm letce and economic or business background. I would go for journalism and choose IIMC for my master's.
