Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course to have an understanding of political science in the academic field. The college provides a balanced student-faculty ratio. To maintain balance, the department divided students into 3 sections. All the faculties are with an excellent academic history with a student-friendly teaching method. After Covid, the academic calendar was completed in a tight schedule without proper breaks.
Internships Opportunities
The college conduct job and internship fairs at regular intervals. Most of the companies are EdTech companies looking for interns. Some of them are Uddeshya, and GPREP institute. There is no guarantee for placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of the college is comparatively lesser than other DU colleges. There was a sudden hike in the present academic year of around 1k to all courses. Apart from scholarship schemes the government, the college provides fee concessions to economically backward students.
Campus Life
The college library is one of the most historic libraries of Delhi university. The library has a large collection of books. College also provides Prominent newspapers. The construction of the new building is completed but there is no initiative from the college to shift. As it is the oldest college, amenities are also old-fashioned. The college lack ground for sports and extracurricular activities.
Admission
I took admission during the Covid period and it was completed online. Students were instructed to register in the Delhi university portal. Now the whole admission process is done through the CUET exam conducted by NTA. Eligibility is a 10+2 Certificate from a recognized board. In the Pre CUET period, students were able to choose their college on a merit basis and now it solely depends on CUET score.
