Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.Com (Hons.) because there are many subject choices in every exam in comparison to B. Com. If I talk about the faculty, they are very much qualified and have friendly behaviour with students. Always ready to help students. Assignment and class test exams were on time so that students won't get pressurized. You can easily pass semester exams if you pay attention to only what professors are teaching.
Internships Opportunities
I don't much about the internships offered in this college because I haven't applied or did. But many of my friends got internships. Companies like TransCuratots, JIO, YTech, etc. Offered internships in college. Mostly the roles offered were related to business development with the highest stipend of 10000/- per month and an average stipend of 5000/- for the whole project.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible from the fifth semester for campus placement. There are so many companies that visit the campus like TCS, Byjus, Delta X, etc. The highest package offered on campus was around 9 LPA and average packages are around 3 LPA. When you are pursuing graduation from DU then during the campus placements your percentage won't matter, they basically check your capabilities, your confidence your knowledge through interview rounds. If you qualify then you will get campus placement easily. I will pursue an accounting job after this degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
In comparison to other DU colleges, they are charging very nominal fees for this course. But the cost to study is higher than the fees. Because the location of this college is very remote and you have to pay around 2-3 times more than your fees for commuting to college daily. No scholarship or financial assistance is provided. But yes placements or internships are provided with a good stipend during the course or after the course.
Campus Life
I was admitted during the lockdown period so I don't much about annual fests and tech fests. But NSS annual fest and the cultural fest are conducted every year. Seminars are conducted on different topics by different societies of the college for the development of students regularly. The library of our college is the biggest library at DU. All books and journals are available with the latest edition in the library. All classrooms are fully furnished and equipped with projectors. They are many societies for students and for the development of students like the dance society, creativity society, NSS, NCC, ABVP, etc.
Admission
When I took the admission it was on the basis of a merit list. In which the aggregate of the best 4 is considered. Usually, the last cutoff in this college is around 75-80%. Don't lose hope till the end you can get into this college if you are an average student. It is a DU college so you have to just fill out the Du admission form which costs 250/-. I got the reservation benefit of OBC but there are no such benefits for OBCs, cutoffs are usually the same for general and OBCs admission.
