Remarks

My admission into BSc. Physical Science (Computer Science) was on a merit basis. I got admission in the first cut-off which was 88.8 (combining marks in physics, computer science, maths and any one subject of your choice). My percentage became (89.1 + 1) by considering marks in English, computer science, maths, and physics, +1 for a girl child. Application fees: 1000 (you had to pay to reserve your seat in a college) which would be all refunded if you cancel your admission in that college before the given deadline (approx. 4 months deadline). The du admission process has been changed since this year (2022). You just have to enter your details and marks and select a preference list of colleges & a college is given to you. If the students want to change the college they can apply for that, but still, no one knows which college they will be given. So the earlier process (2021) was good where various colleges' cut-offs were released and the students could apply for the colleges of their choice.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

In Physical Science ( with computer science ), you are taught physics, maths, computer science, and an SEC (skill enhancement course) which changes every subject. So by taking this subject I can further study any of the 3 subjects, plus choose a profession in any of these fields. The faculty is good and supportive. Professors are easily approachable and will always help you. The office staff is not much efficient. They are slow in working and never get your work done on time. The professors are highly qualified. They will not judge you on the basis of your marks but on the basis of who you are. There are students doing many side-by-courses, and internships, which they understand is not easy to handle with classes. They are always ready to schedule a class at any time just the students need to show interest. Term exams were all on time. In the first year most of the syllabi had what we already had studied till the 12th, so was not much hard to pass and score well.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students from all semesters are eligible for campus placements. They should just have the required skills. Internships from various companies are provided like Tealfeed, Hireyy, TalentServe, ClassReady and many more. The average package offered is 60000-70000 per month. Nearly 60-70% of students get placements I am planning to go for Data Analysis after getting the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees for BSc pscs is Rs 17245 and end of sem examination fees is Rs 1110. Fees at DU are quite affordable. Scholarship: There are many scholarships available which are available on https://Scholarships.gov.in.

Campus Life

4.5

Tech Fest: organized by the Computer Science society of our college: Tech Marathon in the month of Feb. Various coding competitions and non-technical events are organized. Various other societies organize their annual fests. In the library, a wide variety of well-maintained books and journals are available. There are some books for reference which are highly well maintained and can be read in the library only. There are projectors with whiteboards in each classroom. The whole college has centralized ac which only a few du colleges have. Various societies keep organizing different types of events. The sports society keeps its sports event in nov, constituting tug of war, arm wrestling, and marathon.

Other Applied Colleges

Gargi College | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Chemistry)

In Physical Science (Computer Science), you study physics, computer science, maths. So later you can do masters in any of these subjects. Plus you can choose any of these fields as a profession. Also a women's college does not depict the real image of so

Students become eligible for campus placements around 5th to 6th semester. Highest package of 2024 was 25LPA. Usually 8CGPA is considered a sweet spot for campus placements plus it gets them easier to get into world class universities for post graduation.

Acharya Narendra Dev College - [ANDC], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Biomedical Sciences)
Reviewed on Mar 3, 2026(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course Biomedical Sciences is very interesting as well as challenging, it covers various fields of sciences and has great scope in terms of research. The course connects theory with real world applications in hospitals and research laboratories. A few examples would include, antibacterial testing, PFT, EMG, blood tests, which are commonly performed in hospitals. The course also helps us to pursue our hands in research further by providing us with hands on training for skills such as biostatistics, writing scientific literature, lab skills, etc. A few improvements that I would suggest is the removal of outdated testing methods and practicals from the curriculum that are not essential for the real world currently. The teaching methods are quite good and interesting. The exams are conducted at the end of each semester and are relevant to the curriculum. The practical exams test your knowledge of hands on experience that you've gained while doing lab work. Theory exams are of 3 hours as per usual and test your theoretical knowledge from books and classes mainly.
