Remarks

The quota given to Sc and ST or Obc is a big big big disadvantage.!Otherwise, all is good. My college is one of the most renown and well-known institution in Delhi University. I really enjoy the company of superbly experienced and intelligent students. It is totally fun to have a walk in CP which is so nearby our college.

Entrance Preview

I didnt took any entrance exams. We get selected through the percentage we get in 12th standard. I chose this college bcz of its location.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course i opted for gets me to chose out of a lott of subjects out of which i chose political science, psychology, english, and evs. Teachers are so hard working and helps us through all the problems we face. The extra activities our collg offers is like icing on the cake.

Internships Opportunities

The main endeavor of CPC, University of Delhi is to get students placed in reputed multinationals, government Organisations, NGO's and the private sector. All students registered with CPC will be Provided placement assistance, counseling for employment and self/Social enterpreneaurship. The CPC assures logistic support to the visiting companies at every stage of the placement process by making university infrastructure available to them

Placement Experience

4

The students from Delhi University (DU) seem to feature on the hot favourites' list of recruiters not only across the country, but also a few multi- national companies (MNCs). These companies have shelled out job offers, with pay packages weighing as heavy as 8 lakh per annum, to as many as 850 students and are expected to offer jobs to more students in the coming few days. According to the university officials there 2014 has witnessed is a huge jump in the number of job offers being made. While this year the number has already touched 850, last year only around 500 students were placed by the end of April by varsity's Central Placement Cell (CPC).

College Events

5

Most campus events are free, or darn close to free. Few require tickets or a commitment ahead of time. But if you pay attention to the full spectrum of what’s available on your campus, you’ll be reminded again that your coursework is only one tiny part of what you can learn and experience while at your university. It's valuable to be exposed to a maximum possible number of ideas and academic disciplines while in college. And while you might not be prepared to sign up for a full semester of volcanology or 18th Century Spanish poetry, you could probably commit to two hours of a panel event or a visiting scholar’s book discussion

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very very cheap as compared to private colleges.Although the fee they offer is the highest out of all the colleges in DU but its all worth it. All residential facilities have dining halls that provide good quality and hygienic food four times a day. Over 1 Lakh meals are prepared each day! All in all my college has all the best faculties in a minimal cost.

Fees and Financial Aid

No may be they give But i have no clue It can be probably for less fortunate students.

Campus Life

5

Beyond the classroom, students have countless avenues to explore new interests, connect with others and build community in ways that both support and challenge them.Graduate students enjoy an array of intellectual, cultural and social events, recreational outings, public service and other activities.

Hostel Facilities

4

Keeping students's requirements in mind, University offers quality residence (offering above average necessities) for their living comforts. In house laundry services are available at a nominal charges to students. All residential facilities have dining halls that provide good quality and hygienic food four times a day. Over 1 Lakh meals are prepared each day!

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are helpful. They are very helpful.I have asked them a few things and they were so cool.

Exam Structure

Every year the Delhi University conducts the law entrance examination for admitting the eligible candidates in the under graduate as well as post graduate law courses respectively.University Question Papers in History, Political Science, Economics, Education, Nutrition and Health Education, Commerce and Sanskrit may be answered in English or Hindi. The medium will be the same in all the subjects.

Admission

After getting my name in 3rd list i ran to the college on due dates and filled a few forms pasted a few pictures gave the admission fee and yes i was a part of the college.!My session started from august 2016 and classes started from august end.

Faculty

4

The school attracts students from every state of India and more than 20 countries of Asia, Europe, America and South Africa. It has over 4000 students and 100 full-time faculty members anytime on its rolls. The alumni of this institution include Judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts, Ministers of Union and State Governments, civil servants, and many of India's lawyers. It has been consistently ranked in the top three laws schools of the country and finished at the second position in India Today's Best Law Colleges 2016 survey.[2][3] Of the 35 sitting judges of the Delhi High Court, 31 are from the Faculty of Law, Delhi University

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The reason why I choose this subject because I like history and want to know more about it . History have the best opportunities to pursue the UPSC , Anthropology, archeology and we can learn more about historical researches . The faculty im the department of history is updated and well versed in the field of history and have adopted student friendly teaching methods which make me suggest this subject in JMC to the students who likes to pursue higher studies in history. The exams are conducted at the end of every semester with moderate difficulty level .
