Disciplined college life at IEM

College management is dull about the college life. They don't allow you to attend selected lectures.

I appeared for WBJEE. conducted by MAKAUT. my rank was 2619 and i opt for electrical engineering at IEM because on searching i found that it is among the top colleges of MAKAUT.

Electrical engineering. As everyone knows is a core core branch. And its demand is never going to end as every human settlement and industrial expansion needs electrical engineers. Also it has a better post graduate courses. Select this branch only if you are interested enough to sustain the shock of current and voltages theoretically.

Partially yes. Because the college dont bother much about the core branch. They provide internship for cse. IT and ece department.

IEM is known for its 100 percent placement. Which means all the elligible students for campus selection got a job. Mostly IT companies are recruiting mass number of students from the cse it and ece. Even core branch students got selected for some of the good companies like sankalp etc.

In IEM events like innovacion tech fest, cultural fest, and some of the e cell department seminars.are conducted. These fests provides a good opportunity for the students to enhance their ability to lead and work together. These fests provides a new aspect of engineering for the students.

For my session it is 40000per semester. Which i think is good for a private institution of engineering. You have to pay the fees by every 10th july and 10th January. Failure to which causes a daily of rs 50 fine. This fees is only the tuition fees.

Loan facility at this college is good. They easily get loan for btech courses. Also there is two banks branch is situated in the campus. United Bank of india. And IDBI. Which provides better banking services for the students.

Campus life is not good enough as compared to the other colleges. College is situated in IT hub of northeast india. It is divided in three buildings namely GURUKUL. MANAGEMENT HOUSE and ASHRAM BUILDING. due to this there is not much space. For ground and other things. Gender ratio is about 8 to 1 average.

Hostel facilities is not good. Or you can say it is the worst part of this college. They don't have their own hostel. They rent PGs and accommodate students in them. The students get unhygienic foods. Also their hostel are very far from college. Almost 15 to 20 minutes by bus.

Yes. Alumni network is very good here. A cell takes care of seminars by alumni .these seminars helps is to understand the industrial goals and objectives.

Examination in IEM is conducted by MAKAUT. Which is acceptable to all the colleges under it except the autonomous ones. There are two mid semester exams. And practical exam before the every semester exam in 6 months. Some of the labs conduct there internal tests sometimes.

I appeared for WBJEE. conducted by MAKAUT. my rank was 2619 and i opt for electrical engineering at IEM in online counseling at its website . after that i appeared at MAKAUT centre for further admission process. After that. I have to report at the selected college.

IEM provides a good and experienced crew of professors which are always willing to help students at any time. Students are always welcome to clear their doubts. Some of the professors also help the students in their projects formation. Which help them to acquire good projects and better experience.
