A Blogging tour of Zakir Hussain College of Delhi University.

At my time it was merit-based admission was held and I got admission in 5 drive or 5th cut-off and send my application to college when I see my percentage according to the cut-off. As it is not an engineering college so it doesn't have a huge campus as engineering colleges have but the faculty of sports and extra curriculum activities are very active and even Zakir Hussain college has the most talented football team which comes on top every year. And in the science block, all classes have ac in all rooms but the campus has deficits too except science block there are no ac classes for the rest. The library of college having a huge collection of books you can find any kind of book here and in college, there is a different library for morning students and different libraries for evening students which reduces the crowd automatically. As I m a student of a commerce stream I choose b. Com(hon) for further studies because it is relatable to my 12th class study it involves account, business study, management, e-commerce and maths too. Some teachers' teaching method is very well but some of the teachers not having well method so you also have to put extra effort into subjects. Assignments are always given on time and marks are also deducted for not submitting on time. The exams are not as easy as usually, u have to study to get passing and u must have to be regular if you belong to a regular course.

The placement rate is cannot be said that it is good enough to get the desired job but the college provides some internship programmes to the students who are pursuing their graduation from the college. The highest package is nearly 3 lakh And the minimum package is 1lakh. Many companies are outsiders companies but some are from nearby they offer 3 or 6 months short programmes for students who pursuing graduation from e college.

As I am a 2nd-year student I have no experience but I have talked about it to some graduated students they say the company comes but they choose only students who are toppers or who have a minimum or more than 70% also college gives the opportunity to do an internship while doing graduation. That was good because that can help us to take experience in our field before completing our graduation.

As it is not an engineering college so it doesn't have that much campus as compared to an engeenering college, but it is sure that the sports department of the college is very active and has the best football team which score always higher than their opponents in every match and college have also NCC and NSS and Aranya and many others social groups which are created by students only. So in extra curriculum activity, the college is at the top so it is better for a sports person.
