Remarks

Eligibility was to pass the 12th class with at least 50%. I gave an entrance exam for the course. I found other info on the du site only or on jmc site and frequently checked them. No reservation benefits are availed.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this because it was a good course in an amazing college and they offered placements too. A class has around 50 students. And we had 9 subjects in the first year. Most of the faculty has PhD except for the practical teachers. The teaching methods for this course are exceptional. The teachers are well suited to teach a curriculum like this. We have yearly exams and the result is yet to come.

Class Size: 47Course Fees: INR 21000 per year

Internships Opportunities

DU has recently collaborated so that some placement or skill development opportunities are available for the students. Apart from that, the internships for my course will be in the fourth year only and there won't be a stipend for that.

Placement Experience

I don't have much information about that as of now. But from what I've heard, Beled offers packages of around 30+ in the beginning. And there is a good percentage of students getting placements directly as this is a professional course.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very nominal. I don't know much about scholarships but there is reservation quota and sports quotas. I don't think there are any campus jobs at Jesus and mary college or other colleges at DU. It is however more expensive than other courses offered by the University.

Campus Life

The campus life is amazing. There are numerous fests conducted throughout the year. There are not many fests which let students from other colleges come in Or any fests where any celebrity is invited. But apart from that the infrastructure and campus are very beautiful. Library also has all kinds of books available. There is a gym and an open gym on campus.

Poor infrastructure, average faculty and not-so-happening campus life

Placement Experience:

Students in B.ed course become eligible to take jobs in the last semester i.e 4th semester. The college does not provide any placement in our course instead students themself have to mail and contact different schools to secure a teching job. Average package a student can expect depends on many factors like their subjects, qualifications and skills. On an average one can expect around 6lpa in private sector. For securing jobs in government schools Students have to clear exams like DSSSB etc where average package ranges from 10 -12 lpa. Many of my seniors are doing jobs in private schools as techers while some teach online and have their you tube channels. I am planning to do masters in English literature from DU to increase my knowledge and job opportunities.

JMC life my way

i actually did not apply to any other college , the reason being that I am pursuing ca and needed a govt college to balance my attendance along with it , govt colleges do not put a lot of burden as to attendance. so I applied to du and then created my preference list and got JMC according to it and tbh I do not at all regret coming to JMC. the admission experience was really nice , I was happy to get into DU and that too such a nice college , I think that JMC gets less recognition than it should get. admission process is through giving cuet exam, filling in the preference list and the according to the cutoff we get admission...Read More

Girls college was definitely the priority and only two colleges for which I wanted to go. First was LSR and then JMC. The cut-off for LSR was 763 and for KMC it was 745.
