An inside look into Xaviers

VS
3.4 /5

Remarks :

The admission process was quite tiring we had to go through many online websites and submit scanned documents/forms. To get into Xaviers you first have to register yourself at the university of Mumbai after that we have to fill registration form for the college which requires declaration forms and Mumbai university registration form. This is a lengthy process and takes a lot of effort.

Course Curriculum Overview :

We had all our exams according to the college calendar schedule in both online and offline modes of education. In fact, compared to other colleges all our exams were conducted timely without any postponement or delays. The professors covered all our syllabi and lectures. The difficulty level of the exams was moderate, if a student has 75% attendance and was attentive in class, he/she can easily pass the exam.

Internships Opportunities :

A field where the Xaviers should improve or work harder is internships and placement opportunities. The college provides less number of internships and job opportunities as compared to other colleges. The last internship we offered was the BSE data science training program with a stipend.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee structure of st. Xavier's college for B.com students is quite affordable, it costs around RS. 16000 for all 3 years. College also provides special scholarships and rebates for economically weaker class students and minorities. College also provides intership programmes and on-campus jobs such as teaching differently-abled students. Mostly accommodation costs the real expense, but if you are from Mumbai the college will be quite affordable to you.

Campus Life :

Campus life at Xavier's is quite fun, students get the chance to discover their new talents. Also, college gives 2 extra credits for being active in extracurricular activities which is compulsory for every student. There are fests like Malhar, sitare, istoria and many more. The college has a beautiful library with antique writings and provides an ample amount of study material for all the courses, the library is full of new as well as old published books. The college has a gymkhana where students actively participate in indoor and outdoor sports. The college has many clubs such as fitoor for theatres and drama, MVM for promoting Maharashtrian culture, and ECC for overall extracurriculars. Students run all these clubs and committees under the guidance of professors. We have smart classrooms with modern teaching devices, multi-media rooms, auditoriums etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i wanted to have the knowledge about share market how it works and its perks. This course offered you the knowledge you needed for the share market. The curriculum prepared us by taking exams and tests. The important point to be noted is they used to take references from NSE and BSE. I didn't find any areas which should be improved all the things were on point. They used to conduct tests every 2-3 weeks. Which was very helpful for memorizing the content.

The college placement is good because that is government college and provide good placement and internship opportunities for students who have skills and good knowledge. They have not to worry too much about placement atleast they have to score above 6 or 7 cgpa for good package
