Remarks
I got admitted back in 2019, which is pre-pandemic. We had to take our mark sheets physically to the college after the cutoffs were released, get them verified, and pay on the DU portal to complete admission. Later during the pandemic, the entire system was converted to an online platform. All the forms are everything we're available at www.du.ac.in. There is a reservation for OBC SC ST PWD EWS Girls(only 1%). There is also a sports quota, armed forces quota, and faculty quota.
Course Curriculum Overview
Computer Science at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College is one of the best in the entire Delhi University. The teachers take a lot of effort into designing study plans and making sure that the students are learning from them. They also help with projects and offer in-house internships. There are on average 60 students per year and around 10 permanent faculty and 10 guest or nonpermanent faculty. The labs are all equipped with state of an art facility and can be used by the students even at other times apart from classes. All the permanent faculties are doctorates while the nonpermanent faculty have either completed MSc or MTech. Term exams were always timely and in due accordance with the rest of Delhi University.
Internships Opportunities
Several tech and finance companies do come to DDUC....though I have not been a part of it so I can't say much about it. But you can always do research work with teachers and get papers published. That falls in the category of in-house academic internships.
Placement Experience
There is a placement cell that is quite active throughout the year. They help students with both internships (which can be done right from the first semester ) and placements (which one can sit in the final semester). The placements are though mainly restricted to commerce and computer science students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees were 36000/year along with examination fees that we had to pay before every semester. The college does provide certain scholarships but they are only for the reserved category or for students whose parents have very low income.
Campus Life
The annual test Kalrav takes place around March while the tech fest Techmarathon generally takes place in February or early March. The college boasts of a 3-floor library with a wide collection of books in all subject fields. The entire college is air-conditioned with state-of-the-art facilities in classrooms (such as projectors and mics) and labs. There is a sports complex and a mini gym in the college which is open to all. There is a badminton court, squash court, and table tennis. The college also has its football and basketball teams. There are several societies in the college. Whatever may your interest be from debating to robotics, there will be a society for you.
