Remarks

I had applied my college on merit basis in online mode as it was pandemic era. It was a very easy process online. I submitted all my documents and my caste certificate was verified quite quickly by the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I love history so I took history hons. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:50. All the students don't come. So I kept the ratio like this. The qualifications of the faculty are great. All the Professors have done PhD and World History teacher did PhD from Foreign University. So the quality of the faculty is really good.

Internships Opportunities

There is a hell lot of internships. There are two societies which provide internship. The most famous one is Abhays. It provide internships every month from different companies. Some of them are paid. Also it host internship fairs which help a lot. I am not aware of any project as I am not interested in internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

In my year there was no scholarship. But this year they included scholarship and all. The fee hike was minimal. In Second year the fees decreased to some extent. I didn't like to do any internships and all.

Hindu College has Mecca fest. Due to online mode it was not conducted and sadly I don't know the month of Mecca fest. The Library is fully equipped with great books. Classroom is good. New academic block is much more better with lifts, ACs and projectors. Football was done in offline mode as we had corona. There are 22 societies. All societies cater to different tastes.

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Great college with good faculty and student crowd

Placement Experience:

Placements is for 3rd year students. Many good companies visit our campus like bajaj capital, oberoi group. Highest package is around 22 lakhs. We have a lot of internship and placement opportunities come in for students.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. Honest review of Pros and Cons of DCAC

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral).My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.

My Hindu college

My course is English Honours and minimum eligibility for this course is 1 language and any 3 domains in CUET exam according to NEP. Application forms will be provided on NTA Official website and application fees is different for different categories. Also some relaxations for SC St PWD candidates.
