An amazing experience in new journey

In the year 2021 CBSE and other state boards canceled board exams due to which we have been marked over our previous performance and due to which it was quite hard to get the college of our choice in DU as it accepted the admission over merit due to which I didn't get my dream college but also I got admitted in one of the best college of Vocational courses i.e., college of vocational studies and I am pursuing Bsc Computer science (H) and I can say that overall the syllabus of DU is same and it doesn't depend on which college we study but what faculty we get. I have achieved the best faculty of the college and I don't face any troubles in my studies and now I am happy for getting admitted to this college. Though my % was not that much to meet the cutoff still I got admitted to this college with the help of the EWS quota and I am very thankful for this reservation. But now the criteria are changed for admission and now aspirants have to attempt an Entrance paper to get admitted to DU.

I pursued Bsc in Computer science (H) as I want to extract more knowledge of today's era i.e., Technology and so I opted for this course. The faculty is awesome and I don't struggle with anything as all what teacher teaches is understandable even though in online classes and they solves the doubts too without any hesitation and they have full knowledge about the subject they are teaching and student to teacher ratio is 1:1. We are given assignments to complete and sufficient time was given to complete them and we were graded with good marks too. And only we have to appear for End semester exams which are OBE due to covid-19 and it is easy to pass them.

Aspire the placement cell offers internship to many companies in which we can apply with the best skills we have and can get a nominal stipend based on the type of work and task we perform also some companies provides Pre-placement offers and letter of recommendation too.

Our college has a placement cell named ASPIRE which provides internship opportunities right from the first year first semester and also it provides placements in MNC companies too in the fifth and sixth semester and companies like AMAZON, DELOITTE, and others visit the campus for placement and the cell helps a lot to get hired in the companies with good package. Currently, I am unaware of the package as I am in the first year only and have not much interacted with seniors also.

Since It was a computer course due to which its fees is Rs 43000 per annum for this college which is affordable if we didn't get any financial aid as if we compare to Btech it takes around 1.5-2 lakh for a year of study and will learn almost the same thing in both the courses and it takes only 3 years for this course to complete.

Not much familiar with the college infrastructure has not been able to visit offline due to the covid-19 crisis but as heard from seniors they say it has a big sports ground, a big auditorium with a seating capacity of 300 people, and a fully centralized Computer Lab with wifi access to everyone and Canteen with good and cheap food. The college organizes an Annual fest and a social media handle named SMCCVS, DU which is run by students of 3rd year and 2nd year and many amazing clubs like reveire, Aaghaaz, Aspire(The placement cell), etc. Also, there is a Library where plenty of books are present for everyone to read or to issue. Overall the college has the best infrastructure.
