Remarks

The admissions procedure went off without a hitch. I applied for MDI after taking the CAT in which I got 97+ percentile. I picked MDI Gurgaon out of a few other colleges. Eligibility is a bachelor's degree in any domain. The admissions process went well, and the admissions committee was always willing to help. I did not take any reservation benefits.

Course Curriculum Overview

At MDI, we have a 6-semester framework for the MBA PGDM program. Finance, Marketing, and Information Management are all options for specialization at MDI. Faculty to student ratio is 1:25 here. Professors are well-versed in their fields and hold a doctorate degree. Exams questions are quite reasonable hence qualifying for the exams is not a difficulty.

Internships Opportunities

The Summer Internship is for 1st-year students only. It usually lasts for two months. Companies provide a wide range of roles including sales, banking, IBD, IT, etc. The highest and average stipend is around 2.5 lakhs and 1.2 lakhs. Companies that visited the campus are TATA Motors, Flipkart, HDFC Bank, Accenture, Pidilite, etc.

Placement Experience

Placements are really good at MDI Gurgaon. Before the final placements, there are specific grooming workshops. Amazon, Pidilite, Castrol, Bridgestone, etc are among the top recruiters at our institute. The highest package available is around 45 LPA and the batch's average package weight is 22+ LPA. The roles offered were mostly sales and banking-related.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total tuition fees for the whole program including all other expenses are around 21+ lakhs. Students are provided with scholarships and financing options like O.P. Jindal Scholarships etc. Loan options are also available for students who need it and college helps in the same. Stipend could be earned through internships opportunities.

Campus Life

MDI's campus life is quite exciting. There are several groups and committees that organize Marketing related, Finance related, cultural, and sports events. The library offers a wealth of online and print resources, as well as access to a wide range of academic journals and data. The annual fest is organized during February-March every year.

Interview Experience

MDI's admissions procedure is predicated on candidates' CAT scores being legitimate i.e. at least above 95 percentile. Students must next fill out an MDI application form if they are selected for the next level, which includes a PI. Students must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum aggregate of 60%. Interview questions were mostly related to general awareness, personal background, and academics.

Best college for MBA in Gurgaon (Delhi NCR).

Placement Experience:

Almost 650% of students land a PPO with the companies they intern at. For the others, the Placement Cell does an amazing job of lining up companies for campus recruitment. The highest package recorded has been 16 LPA with an average revolving around around 6 LPA. I think it's reliable placement scenario and we are given enough training to do our best in the interviews.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum combines the theory as well as practical subjects. The course includes projects and assignements based on the different tools like excel, Power BI, Python, SQL. The course assignments and projects take place in the end of the trimesters for most of the subjects which make it quite hectic to submit them for some subjects overlapping each other.

GLIM Placements start from the beginning of 2nd year as till then we are also done with our intenrships. Also, placements here are lesser than that of Chennai but still median of GLIM is around 15 lakhs which is much better than other B-Schools of NCR.

Since my CAT percentile was quite less, 96, and being from a top NIT, I wanted to get into a B-School which could complement my NIT tag, while my fream was a tier - 1 college, my percentile shut all doors. I chose MDI Gurgaon over XLRI Delhi, IIM Shillong, new and baby IIMS, NITIE - PGDSM. The reason for choosing MDI was its proximity to my hometown, Tier 1 status. I was rejected from IIM ABCLKI and FMS - Delhi mostly on the basis of my undergrad scores and a CAT percentile which was not high enough. Internship in ABG !!

You need to appear in the CAT exam. Any percentile over 90%ile with a sectional of 70 70 70 cleared will fetch you a call from MDI Gurgaon. However, to convert core, 96+ is a safe score for non-engg and 98.5+ for GEM. After you get a shortlist, you'll have to appear and fill out a form which MDI-G will send and you can edit your details there. Further, you'll get a PI date.
