If the college is made as an autonomous institution that may further help in betterment of all aspects with the induction of an efficient management.
Entrance Preview
Had cleared MAT and CAT with 97 and 87+ percentiles respectively and opted the college as I had prior experience in power domain.
Course Curriculum Overview
The two years course curriculum of the program was an excellent blend of general management aspects and the power sector specific aspects overall a very good course content.
Internships Opportunities
Many power sector private companies, consultancies and few PSUs visits the campus to offer internship to the students. Some of the companies paid stipends ranging from INR 10000 -20000 per month.
College Events
Various cultural and technical programs as well as alumni meets are organised and participation level is good. Although, I feel that more no. of such events should be organised.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As the college is directly under the ministry of power govt. of India so the fees is reasonable and should not be said as expensive to be borne by parents/students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Although i had not taken any educational loans but the loans can be availed from all leading banks by the students.
Campus Life
Gender ratio 9:1::Boys:Girls hostel parties with a frequency of 2 in a month on average. Quite tolerant with regards to gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels were nice with twin sharing attached toilet bathrooms. Mess were managed by students team of junior and senior batches present in the campus.
Alumni/Alumna
Very good connection and network with alumni and Seniors is maintained by the students. It helps the students and alumni as well in several manners in getting offers of internship and final placements.
Exam Structure
Exams and curriculum were moderately hectic and so not very chilled too exam and evaluation pattern may be further improved.
Faculty
Faculty of the college on an overall basis may be said as above average and they may be rated as 3.5/4 out 5 point scale some external/guest faculties were also great to have in the classroom.
