Entrance Preview
It is a lifeline to enter in power sector after Graduation/BE/B.Tech in ECE/C&I/EEE/Mechanical/Civil streams and its certificate is mandatory to operate the power plant above 500MW plants in India for this all India level exam is conducted every year in the month of May Jun it is governed by Ministry of Power, GoI.
Course Curriculum Overview
All the subjects are related and with reference to Power Plant taken into consideration electives were based on Power plant familiarisation, Boiler & its auxillaiaris, Turbine & its auxiliaries, Generator & its auxiliaries, Protection Systems, Energy Audit & its aspects, Operation & Execution of Power Plants.
Internships Opportunities
There is no such internship program in one year program apart from it 2 weeks scheme tracing power plant overviews are conducted in realtime aspects.

All the companies come at NPTI for recruitment purpose many of them are Balco, Vedanta, JSW, JSPL, Reliance, LANCO, Adani, Thermax, L&T, TATA, OPGC, NTPC, KVK, KSK, CESC, NDPL, etc
College Events
NPTI Annual Fest along with NCL (NPTI Cricket League) is conducted every year at all the eight NPTI's throughout India Badarpur, Nagpur, Durgapur, Guwahati, Neyeli, Nangal, Solapur, Faridabad etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
At the time of 2011 fee structure was INR 2.5 Lacs per annum each year, it increases by 25k it is not much expensive as per infrastructure provided and industrial visits are organised by NPTI.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I havent availed it so far so, no idea about it but, many people in our batch had taken it as It was under premier colleges in India so, taking loan from banks is not a big deal for NPTI.
Campus Life
Gender ratio was very poor in the campus hostel parties were organised when a person/ group was placed in some company workshops cultural activities were done time to time as per Indian Hindu Calendar.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel location was in campus and in the heart of City at Durgapur i.e. City Centre all the things are near to the campus hostel fees was 10k for a year and electricity was free throughout the year.
Exam Structure
Exam structure was devided into two parts aptitude & technical it was chilled out experience accuracy should be maintained as more you are accurate more you have chances to be in Premier NPTI according to their rankings.
Faculty
Faculties are renowned people working in NTPC or NITs, NPTI, MoP, PGCIL, POSOCO, BEE, guest lecturers from other private IPPs working throughout India.
