MDI, Gurgaon - Review

Eligibility is any graduation degree with around 95+ percentile score in CAT exam is a must for general candidates. Application forms and other requisites are found on the college website only. I did not take any reservation benefits. The admission process is very smooth. It will be bearable if you are lucky enough to be in the hostel with pals, but working in groups in online mode is a hassle.

I chose Marketing because I had interest in it. The student-to-college ratio is 1:20 approximately. We have a mix of temporary and permanent college faculty, with some being PhD and others being industry experts. We have 6 trimesters in 2 years and exams in every trimester with moderate difficulty. The course's content is evaluated and produced by students, and it is kept up to date with respect to the present business environment.

The summer internship is for 2 months and is available for first-year students only. Companies like GS, Pidilite, Tata Sky, Coca-Cola, ITC, Wipro, Infosys, etc come to campus for recruiting. Average Stipend is close to 1.10 lakhs and highest goes around 2.5 lakhs with roles being offered such as IBD, CCE, Sales, Market research, Auditing, management trainee, etc.

Final year students are eligible for placements and almost 100% batch gets placed. 120+ companies like Flipkart, Deloitte, Tata, HDFC, and others come on campus. The largest income package offered by means of groups was rupees 45 LPA, while the average income package was rupees 22 LPA. I also plan to get placed in these companies.

MDI Gurgaon has a tuition cost of 21-22 lakhs in total for 2 years. The fee is hiked almost close to 5-10% every year. There are scholarships available for students with less family annual income. You can earn a stipend through various live projects or internship opportunities by working in a company either through college or by yourself as well.

We have a beautiful, new campus with all of the best facilities, such as cafeterias, dormitories, labs, and so on. The library has a diverse collection of printed and electronic materials, including books, e-journals, and more. Clubs like Activity Club, Academic Club, Events Club are there on the campus. Imperium is MDI's three-day flagship annual managerial, cultural, and sports activities festival.

WAT and Personal Interview happened after the CAT exam. WAT topics were mostly abstract and it was a 25-30 mins write-up. Personal Interview questions were mostly around my family background, academics, what is happening around in my state or region. My preparation was through online coaching. Also, I gave mock tests to my IIM friends.
