MDI Gurgaon complete Review

Eligibility criteria involve 3 or 4 years Under graduation degree in any domain. CAT exam is a must here with 95+ percentile at least. The application form could be found on the university website only. I didn't take any reservation benefits. When you apply to a college, they will shortlist you based on your CAT exam result, and if you are selected, you will be invited to participate in a group discussion and a personal interview.

I chose Marketing as a domain here. MDI's curriculum prepares students to handle complicated management issues in their chosen areas and is divided into six terms, each lasting three months approximately. The exams are easy and are held after every trimester and in between as well. Faculty to student ratio is around 1:25 here.

Summer internships are available for 1st-year students. Companies like Pepsico, Amazon, OYO, Samsung, Ola, Flipkart, and other new recruiters took part in the summer placement process. The average stipend granted was INR 1.5 lakhs, with INR 3 lakhs being the highest per month. The roles offered are mostly research-based, sales and operations related.

There were 100+ companies last year offering employment openings across several disciplines like Google, Pidilite, Sony, Coca-Cola, etc. The average wage package given increased by 12% and was INR 22+ lakhs per annum, with the highest being INR 40.50 lakhs per annum. Companies offer roles like sales, auditing, SCM, etc.

Fees at MDI Gurgaon is above 21 lakhs for 2 years and is hiked almost 5-10% every year. The institution primarily offers scholarships like the O.P. Jindal scholarship, and international scholarships which are available for students participating in student exchange programs. The college offers summer internships as well, where students can earn stipends.

The campus is pretty nice and has completely air-conditioned lecture halls, as well as other amenities like a computer centre, a library, and housing for both students and employees. The college library houses over 50000 volumes as well as a variety of E-journals, periodicals, and other materials. Multiple clubs are there in MDI like sports, marketing, operations, etc. Also, the annual fest and the cultural fest is organized every year in March.

The admission process involves a CAT exam followed by a WAT and a PI. Write up includes mostly abstract or general topics. It is a 30 minutes exam. Post that the selected candidates go through a PI process that involves mostly academics and general awareness questions. My preparation was mostly Online and mock tests.
