Remarks

My most personally rewarding college experience occurred even before I arrived on campus as a freshman. The college board offered an "outward bound" programme for first years students, 2 weeks before the orientation day. During those 2 weeks, I overcame fears, made lifelong friends and gained the self confidence I need to start my college journey. As many other students do, I also found this form online. I was also doing a little research on it. And then apply it after my 12th. The students who had financial problems, time issues due to their part time or full time job in government, as well as the private sector, can apply here. The quality of education is very much good. Classes are conducted on Saturday or Sunday so that every person can attend the college classes. As it's getting top ranking among the other universities. Certificates are also provided facilities internationally.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As now I'm a UPSC Aspirant, I had made my mind to prepare full time for it after 12th With my graduation. I had no time to go to a regular college but I had to choose the best from many other colleges. I did a little research on it and after that, I make my mind to get admission to IGNOU. and as polity is known as the Bible for UPSC, I choose it as my subject. Now I would Iike to talk something about the faculties. I had continued Saturday Sunday classes. And I think every faculty was so much supportive. And they teach us like parents. They answered everything that we wanted to know. They all are very polite and kind-hearted. In a word, they were the sea of knowledge. There were 30-32 students in our batch course. I can't remember properly right now. Now talking about cutoff marks for exams. We have belonged to the semester wise program. There were 3 semesters. And cutoff marks was 35 on written and on assignment we need to have pass marks at least to appear in exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is very low as compared to any other university and the facilities are so much good. The students of this college can apply for the National scholarship portal, which is one of the best initiatives by the central government. Placements are average. And Students from any discipline from IGNOU can apply for this. But for this, you need to go to MaidanGarhi head office and have to attend an interview. After that, you can get placement.

Campus Life

2

We had a study centre. As IGNOU has many branches. So nothing to say much about this. I was also a part of this study centre. But I had enjoyed my friend's company. We missed it. But I want to thank ignou, who made me capable to face every challenge in my life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral). My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
