Course Curriculum Overview

5

The IGNOU MA curriculum is well-structured and covers comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge. Which influenced my decision to choose. The study materials are detailed and self-explanatory. It prepares students effectively for further competitive exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have taken admission in MA in English in 2024 which i paid 8000 for the 1st year Course as well as in 2 year i paid 7000 for the course. For final Exams you have to paid 200 rupee per subject that is good for me. If you have any back/Fail subject for that subject You have to paid 500 rupee per subject. Scholarship are available for Obc/Sc/wbc/st Students.

Campus Life

4

IGNOU is a distance learning university, so traditional campus life is limited. Study centres offer libraries, counselling sessions and occasional workshops. Few centres host student clubs, cultural activities and seminars. Infrastructure is basic but sufficient for academic needs.

Admission

Colleges charge too much for the course that I didn't apply to at other colleges. I chose this college because its supportive for the students. No, I didn't rejected by any other college. The admission is fully online, simple and student-friendly. It involves registration, document upload, fee payment and confirmation. The admission cycle is january - July. UG courses = 10+2 PG Courses = (like MA) Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. Also Diploma Certificate as per course requirements.

Faculty

Academic counsellor who is very much support for the students of MA/BA in English assignment. Professor Nandini Sahu - she played a key role in devely programme in Folklore and Culture Studies . Students often engage with her via course materials. There are two exams in two years course of MA in English. For me exams are very easy, just you need to understand the question and write the answer about 500/600 words for 20 marks.

Night Life

4

IGNOU is distance education university . So it doesn't have a typical campus nightlife. Students mostly study from home or visit centre during the day. Therefore , night life is not applicable. Not too much apply for the hostel

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doing master in political science was the obvious choice for me because I have done my graduation in political science and if you are talking about the academics pursuit in this field you can how to do PHD after Clearing your net exam but there will be no other Job opportunity you will get in this course. The only scope you have that you can prepare for upsc or other government exams. Otherwise, if you are from engineering background that is, you have done your graduation from engineering then definitely you should opt further in this field only.

This is one of the best institutions of India and I'm proud to be here But there are many things to be improved. Like the infrastructure to be updated and also new hostels should be constructed. Also the management is mostly reluctant towards students issues. We have to protest to get our rights here.
