Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Doing master in political science was the obvious choice for me because I have done my graduation in political science and if you are talking about the academics pursuit in this field you can how to do PHD after Clearing your net exam but there will be no other Job opportunity you will get in this course. The only scope you have that you can prepare for upsc or other government exams. Otherwise, if you are from engineering background that is, you have done your graduation from engineering then definitely you should opt further in this field only.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

In Delhi university doing masters will cost different as per the college you choose or get. In my case, I opted for Department of political science and the Annual fee for it was around Rs7536. In semester exams you will have to pay examination fee of around 510-600(Same for every college). This is the all you have to pay in Department of P.S.

Campus Life

3.5

In the department of political science in North campus, there are different extracurricular activities are conducted. You can take part on these and learn many things. In Department there are lots of societies as well. You can also take part into this if you haven't done in your graduation. Otherwise I will suggest you to focus on your studies only. For sports activities, I don't know actually. One more important thing, there is lot of politics in Du try to stay away from it.

Admission

You will get admission into the masters in political science after clearing the pgcut exam conducted by NTA. The admission process is simple that after getting a good marks in the pgcut you can take admission in the counseling process of the University from it official website. You will have to give preference of your colleges you like most and as per your scores in the pgcut you will get the college. I opted for Department of political science North campus because whatever College you choose in the north campus your class and your semester exams, all will be conducted only in Department except your documentation.

Faculty

4

In Department of political science in the first year, you will have a class of 300 to 400 students in the satyakam bhawan. The ratio of the teacher will be as per this that is one teacher to 300 students and this will definitely change after the first year when your classes will be divided. As per your subject preferences you will choose after the first semesters or first year of your exams. If you talk about the faculties of Department of political science in North campus and South campus, they will be same. I mean all faculties in the masters are good in the University. They are profound knowledge about their subject. And I think the only criteria you will not like any faculty is the marks they give you? In the two years of your masters in political science from do you you will have four semesters that means four semester exams. In these four semester exams you will have four internal assessment papers. The division of marks is like 30 from practicals and the 70 from theoretical paper

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love literature and wanted to know more about it and the curriculum and syllabus is great. There's hint of everything. You have poetry, fiction, non-fiction, American Literature, Indian Writing in English. It's a blend of everything you need to know. The curriculum prepares you for competitive exams and real world issues. You come to a better understanding of society and your mind expands to a better level of understanding. I don't find any flaws in the curriculum. Exams take place twice per year. Besides that internal assessment is there. They're not that difficult, they basically want to know your understanding of the problem and how you analyse the situation.

The curriculum needs to be updated to reflect the current research and trends in the field of Psychology. But it still provides a good base for learning, and taking that learning forward. For someone deeply interested in the subject as myself, it works as a great springboard for future learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have an interest in Literature and that is the main reason why I chose this course, University Of Delhi has a vast syllabus and the faculty here is well informed and educated on the subject, we have 4-5 papers per semester in the first year, and the lectures are for 1 hour each, there are a lot of teachers teaching simultaneously so we get to see one teacher every weak. For example we have a lecture on Shakespeare sonnet on monday at 9:30, we will continue that next week, this way it doesn't get on our nerves and we get time to revise and a lot of syllabus gets covered at the same time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was interested in knowing more about the politics of the country, additionally, it was going to help me out with my UPSC optional. Though the faculty-student ratio has increased now, still professors are easily accessible to discuss. One can approach their chambers, also each student gets an academic advisor allotted. The faculty here is one of the best in the country, even overseas. That is the foremost reason why students want to be here. The teaching method is very impersonal, where Faculty itself has the power to design the syllabus and assess them as they want. The course is not easy, and rigorous and one should engage properly in the readings to write good answers and develop a deep understanding. Centre for political studies (CPS) takes two mid-semester exams and one end-semester exam in a semester.

Admission:

I am a student of Ignou since 2011. I've been a working girl to support myself and to bear my expense for a very long time. And attending a full-time college and working was something that I couldn't juggle myself through. Admission to Ignou is not difficult at all. And especially at present, when things are done online. So, no need to stand in a long queue. Ignou has its own website for admissions and to check the status of registration as well.
