Course Curriculum Overview
I have an interest in Literature and that is the main reason why I chose this course, University Of Delhi has a vast syllabus and the faculty here is well informed and educated on the subject, we have 4-5 papers per semester in the first year, and the lectures are for 1 hour each, there are a lot of teachers teaching simultaneously so we get to see one teacher every weak. For example we have a lecture on Shakespeare sonnet on monday at 9:30, we will continue that next week, this way it doesn't get on our nerves and we get time to revise and a lot of syllabus gets covered at the same time.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for MA english depends on what college one gets, but the maximum it can go is 30/35k per year, I am in the Department of english, North campus (It is kind of main department, not affiliated with any college), and the fees here is 17.5k per year for general category.
Campus Life
The campus is really vast and beautiful, there's a central library which has a lot of books and sitting space to sit and study. Since we are in masters, we don't get to participate much in the clubs. The classrooms in some buildings (Satyam Bhawan, where our classes are conducted) are really good and has ACs. (Department of English, Arts Faculty, North Campus). In Masters you don't get to go to your college regularly, classes are conducted in the faculty/mail campus only.
Admission
To get admission in this university and this course you have to appear in CUET exam, details of the same can be found on NTA's website (search Cuet Pg), (Eligibility- You must have a bachelors degree in the same subject or an equivalent, like a Ba in English hons or BA prog with english as a major) ,then fill in the form of Delhi University whenever it is out (keep an eye on the website), appear in the exam, if you have scored good and secured a seat in the uni, you will get a mail.
