Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The syllabus is alright as to live up to the expectations of the course. The difficulty level is moderate to tough, but you can do it! The curriculum however, with introduction of the SEC, VAC, GEC subjects becomes very hectic. The schedule is rigid and attendance criteria is 66.67%. Being in societies and working internships and maintaining such attendance is a tough task.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

You can see a message every alternate day for internship applications. Verification is necessary but, the opportunities are ample. Internships provided are feasible and very important to enhance your CV.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements are rising each year in Big 4s and Big 6 as well. The placement cell brings in creative and innovative ideas for internships too. Most students were placed in Deloitte and EY in the current year beginning.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fee structure varies in the three years of college. The first year fees is generally higher by 8-9k. The second year fees currently for B.com(h) is 22750. However, scholarships are available in abundance for the economically weaker section and also for those eligible. The college conducts various seminars as well on how to apply for such scholarships and messages are circulated in groups.

Campus Life

4.5

The college is a host to many seminars, insightful they are. There is an annual fest, SHRUTI! Artists from other cities are called to perform as well. Asees Kaur graced the fest with her presence in the year 2022. There are several Navratri fests, Janmashtami celebration, Diwali fest and others.

Admission

After spending a year in this college, I believe that it was the best choice. Well not my choice but It happened for the best. Earlier I would whine about not getting into Hansraj or SRCC, but now I feel that this is okay. The location is a bit remote which does not let the north campus rush affect you. But it is still considered to be in north campus. The beauty of north campus is unique in its own way, but IPCW has its own grace as well. We travel a lot and that is something that makes us more energetic

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of my department is great. They are approachable and trustworthy. Whenever you have to get a project approved or perform some research task, the professors are the only ones you can go to. They have a deep knowledge of the subject they teach and make sure that we delve into the concepts and improvw the understanding.

Curriculum was to the point. Everything was explained nicely in books provided to us and faculty, teachers were very good. They were passionate about their job . I personally had no problems with timings or frequency of exams. I can't comment on areas of improvement either.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is good overall as it provides us with many opportunities. Many companies have visited in the past, and many students have been placed in higher companies. This year, one student got a 48 lac pa placement offer, which was one of the highest in the whole of Du University. The highest was 48lac, and the average are 7 to 10 lac. My plans after completing this degree are to start my own business or pursue higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I studied commerce I wanted to pursue either bcom hons or bcom program. I would say it's 6/10 in terms of real world applications of the curriculum. More practical knowledge should be given. I would say exam were hard but timing was okay.
