Remarks

A good remark about the college would be that it's very feasible and flexible. As I mentioned, it is for everyone. One has the facility to sit for the term end exam twice in one year. One can sit for the June exam and if by any chance you have missed it or flunked it, you can again sit for the exam in December.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The best part about Ignou is that it has a variety of degree courses and as well as Diploma and certificate courses. And even when you choose a course, you can choose from different topics as well which is best suited for you. For instance, if you choose to take History as one of the three subjects for your bachelor's, you can choose from Ancient, Medieval, or Modern History of India. The study material which is provided from the college is delivered at your doorstep, and believe it or not, it's pretty thorough.

Placement Experience

2.5

A lot of placement drives take place at Ignou, Maidangarhi, Sake. All the students of Ignou are invited to attend the interviews through SMS. A lot of placements happens within the Ignou campus as well. If there's a vacancy on the campus, the students of Ignou are contacted first through the SMS.

College Events

2.5

I have not attended any sort of technical, cultural, or management festivals at the campus, so I don't believe I'm the right person to give you details about it. But I remember, once I got an SMS from ignou about an event. It was an invitation for planting green plants and trees I'm the campus to support the green environment.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I am a student since 2011. At present, I'm pursuing my Master's degree in English literature, which is usually completed in 2 years (minimum) (5 years maximum). Fees for one year is Rs. 5000.00 only. The registration fee is Rs. 1000.00. Exam fees are Rs. 120.00 per subject.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

I think they must have some scholarship program or contest, but I can assure you I have no knowledge of that. So I can neither confirm nor deny this particular thing.

Campus Life

4.5

There are more than 50 colleges that serve as a study center for Ignou students. They consist of canteens, laboratories, or places where they arrange workshops for the students. During the week the colleges are filled with the regular college-going students, but during the weekends, it's filled with the Ignou students.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There is a hostel facility in Ignou, Maidangarhi, Saket. They have a huge campus, which one cannot walk and visit, it's that big. They have a hostel facility for the students as well as the staff. They have different buildings for the students of humanities or. Science or commerce.

Alumni/Alumna

I have a lot of friends and a few of my colleagues who are or who have been students of Indra Gandhi National Open University at one point or the other. Networking is not difficult, because there is a whole section just for students on the university's website. And we can connect with our seniors when we visit the study centers. They are very helpful, especially when it comes to suiting assignments.

Admission

I am a student of Ignou since 2011. I've been a working girl to support myself and to bear my expense for a very long time. And attending a full-time college and working was something that I couldn't juggle myself through. Admission to Ignou is not difficult at all. And especially at present, when things are done online. So, no need to stand in a long queue. Ignou has its own website for admissions and to check the status of registration as well.

Faculty

2.5

There are Study centers for the students, many known colleges offer their buildings for Ignou study centers in Delhi, (mine is-Jesus and Mary College). This is where the students go to attend classes and submit assignments. The faculty is cooperating and we'll be versed with knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doing master in political science was the obvious choice for me because I have done my graduation in political science and if you are talking about the academics pursuit in this field you can how to do PHD after Clearing your net exam but there will be no other Job opportunity you will get in this course. The only scope you have that you can prepare for upsc or other government exams. Otherwise, if you are from engineering background that is, you have done your graduation from engineering then definitely you should opt further in this field only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love literature and wanted to know more about it and the curriculum and syllabus is great. There's hint of everything. You have poetry, fiction, non-fiction, American Literature, Indian Writing in English. It's a blend of everything you need to know. The curriculum prepares you for competitive exams and real world issues. You come to a better understanding of society and your mind expands to a better level of understanding. I don't find any flaws in the curriculum. Exams take place twice per year. Besides that internal assessment is there. They're not that difficult, they basically want to know your understanding of the problem and how you analyse the situation.

The curriculum needs to be updated to reflect the current research and trends in the field of Psychology. But it still provides a good base for learning, and taking that learning forward. For someone deeply interested in the subject as myself, it works as a great springboard for future learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have an interest in Literature and that is the main reason why I chose this course, University Of Delhi has a vast syllabus and the faculty here is well informed and educated on the subject, we have 4-5 papers per semester in the first year, and the lectures are for 1 hour each, there are a lot of teachers teaching simultaneously so we get to see one teacher every weak. For example we have a lecture on Shakespeare sonnet on monday at 9:30, we will continue that next week, this way it doesn't get on our nerves and we get time to revise and a lot of syllabus gets covered at the same time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was interested in knowing more about the politics of the country, additionally, it was going to help me out with my UPSC optional. Though the faculty-student ratio has increased now, still professors are easily accessible to discuss. One can approach their chambers, also each student gets an academic advisor allotted. The faculty here is one of the best in the country, even overseas. That is the foremost reason why students want to be here. The teaching method is very impersonal, where Faculty itself has the power to design the syllabus and assess them as they want. The course is not easy, and rigorous and one should engage properly in the readings to write good answers and develop a deep understanding. Centre for political studies (CPS) takes two mid-semester exams and one end-semester exam in a semester.
