Course Curriculum Overview

3

As i am working so i had to join distance study thats why i chose IGNOU. Curriculum ok but not that much updated. Based on totally self study that's what I can say.

Fees and Financial Aid

As we know Ignou is a renowned Board for distance study but i want to make it clear that it is totally based on self study as you will get only 2 or 3 online classes(though only in 1st year).and if you have practical paper then you will get 3-4 practical classes each year which is clearly not enough. so basically you need to study on your own like making notes, experiments, projects etc etc and some candidates has misconceptions regarding exam papers that its very easy to clear i want to make it clear that its not that easy. You need to study hard to clear papers and you only get 4 years to complete your degree. otherwise you need take readmission placement assistance.

Campus Life

3

As it is a open university there is no cultural program or alumni meet happens. every candidate is normally assigned with a study center (candidate can choose as per their location). you need to submit assignments their only.

Admission

Literally I dont have that much idea about private distance colleges that time And i heard about Ignou that its certificate is valid. If you want to take admission in ignou you need visit their website there are two admission session one is July and another is January. you have to fill application form then submit all required documents .pay the yearly fee and they will send you confirmation mail and classes link. Join whatsapp group of Students it would be helpful to get all the informations regarding assignment submission, exam dates.

Faculty

3

Faculties are not always available. may be in whatsapp group. But not like regular universities. I had only 2 classes over the meet in my 1st year thats all. no more classes except practical classes. Exam papers are relatively difficult. you need study hard not piece of cake i would say

Night Life

3

There is no such facility like gym and all. if you are looking for a happening college or university then its not for you i must say. its a open university. you will get study materials need to self study, submit assignment at study center , attend practical classes ,and seat for exam to a exam center thats all.

Continuous and comprehensive evaluation or CCE is a well-structured formula and anyone in the system can learn from it and get the benefits from it as well. The termwise assessments are the proofs that one can derive inspiration from it.

Delhi University - [DU], Master of Arts [MA] (East Asian Studies)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course considering my interest in East Asian culture and Languages. The Faculty: Student ratio is 1:40 and most of the professors are Ph.D scholars. The teaching method comprises reading books and learning after it which stipulates the form of an ancient education system like any other mediocre Indian University. "An important factor to consider is that faculty sometimes fell short due to a shortage of subject masters(or should I say language) For example, Chinese faculty is much in number and experience than Korean and Japanese while the latter suffer the incompetency of the number of faculty. Term exams happened to be very fast but it was due to the internal issues that remain consistent in DU and except that there would be tons of Internal Assessments that play a major role in one's SGPA. Exam level - Hard!

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was interested in knowing more about the politics of the country, additionally, it was going to help me out with my UPSC optional. Though the faculty-student ratio has increased now, still professors are easily accessible to discuss. One can approach their chambers, also each student gets an academic advisor allotted. The faculty here is one of the best in the country, even overseas. That is the foremost reason why students want to be here. The teaching method is very impersonal, where Faculty itself has the power to design the syllabus and assess them as they want. The course is not easy, and rigorous and one should engage properly in the readings to write good answers and develop a deep understanding. Centre for political studies (CPS) takes two mid-semester exams and one end-semester exam in a semester.

This is one of the best institutions of India and I'm proud to be here But there are many things to be improved. Like the infrastructure to be updated and also new hostels should be constructed. Also the management is mostly reluctant towards students issues. We have to protest to get our rights here.
