Remarks

This course has helped to face the real world and the demands of corporate pressure simultaneously with studies even before I finished my post graduation. Believe me I would have been lost after completion of my course understanding how corporate world operates and works, but at Wigan I was relieved from all those worries.

Entrance Preview

At first I found the process to be very exhausting, but during my final interview I realized that it was for my own good. Through all the assessments, the WLCI experts were able to discuss my strengths, weaknesses and the kind of training that I would need to undergo. After this the induction process started.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The college offers a rich curriculum combined with an excellent traineeship programme which is very helpful in gaining some industry experience, while still at college. The syllabus was very Industry-focused. Every teaching session involved the discussion of real-life case studies

Internships Opportunities

By doing an apprentice program while I do my post graduation, it gives me ample opportunity to be a part of same organization as a full time employee. The practical experience that I gained in Wigan & Leigh College through the Traineeship Program, together with academics is helping me today in my workplace to give my optimum efforts and achieve results.

Placement Experience

5

Right now I'm working in a multinational and all my decisions are based on what I have learned in my classes and from the experienced gained from the apprenticeship programme.

College Events

4

There are so many events taking place at WLCI like the fresshers, farewell and the fest are the main events. Apart from this we celebrated Diwali, Holi and Ethnic Day in our college

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is low compared to the other institutes. But that maybe because of the less popularity of the college amongst students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are offered by Wigan but the amount is very less and there are almost none students who qualify for the exams.

Campus Life

4.5

Knowledge acquired at WLC made me a fast thinker and very creative. The modules covered handled many practical situations and I sincerely appreciate them now in my professional life.

Hostel Facilities

4

WLCI helps the students by providing them the hostel facility where they are given everything and the food is good. I m a Delhi resident so I don't know much about the accomodation.

Alumni/Alumna

The students who are a part of the Alumni cell are constantly in touch with the alumni and they bring them to the campus for guest lectures.

Exam Structure

Exams are held every semester and then there are tests, assignments, group live projects, along with many quizzes. The structure is optimal but there are two exams every alternative day which makes it hectic

Faculty

4

The faculty interaction has been most valuable to me since I have found good mentors and a genuine concern in my teachers at Wigan. The college imparted useful formal education through its comprehensive modules taught by industry specific faculty.

In IGNOU, you can study from anywhere because the courses are offered in distance and online mode. You don’t have to attend regular college; you can study at home using the books, PDFs, and online lectures. IGNOU also provides online teachers through live classes, recorded videos, and doubt-clearing sessions on their online platforms. This makes it easy for students to learn even if they are working or living in another city.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For the course i must say that this is something everyone needs to study about even if it's for just a part. We have ethics, moral, cultural relativism and etc. In our syllabus and it all really help to make our thinking rational, to see World from that point of view from where one can see the clarity. It's really necessary for improvement in personality and making good decision. I think there's need for making this course more practical like teaching, we can teach students about essentials of philosophy for there betterment of decision making from an early age.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course that I opted for is Political Science and it is very relevant to the exam that I am preparing for. I often take help of the online material they provide. It is often recommended curriculum for UPSC/MPSC/political journalism. However they need to provide teachers or short video lectures do that the course become comprehensive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very relevant and covers all the history topics comprehensively. The study material is very good as many upsc aspirants and students preparing for competitive exams refer it. Though the curriculum can be improved by limiting and only adding the essential topics in it. There is too much of unnecessary information which makes it difficult to understand at times.
