Remarks
This institution is only meant for people who are looking for practical exposure. If you are more into theoretical studies, then it may not the right choice for you. At the end of the course I was a little lost as to where I am headed career wise.
Entrance Preview
There are 3-4 rounds conducted at the time of entrance, while the entrance test is pretty tough other aspects like the Gdand interview session are easy because they do not reject much students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course offers basic subjects from accounting, business laws, insurance, banking to strategy management. They provide modules for the same to the students.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are an integral part of the curriculum as they help us to grow practically but unfortunately I got selected for anaverage company while I was waiting for the results of another company which I badly wanted.
Placement Experience
The placement process starts in around October and there are various companies coming to college with average packages. I got placed at a mediocre company whose name I won't reveal else I will get kicked out of the company.
College Events
Events like freshers farewell fest occur at the campus. Apart from this there are inter college sports competition where I participated and I won the inter college boxing championship.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees for the course is around 80,000 per year which is similar to what other colleges are also taking as a part of fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are provided to extra meritorious students as they compete in an exam which is specially designed for the scholarship purpose.
Campus Life
My experience at the institute has so far been quite positive. The infrastructure is good. Resources are up to date but they need to modify the campus placement part.
Hostel Facilities
There is a hostel inside the campus for students and they provide all the facilities there which are of a normal quality and they give concessions to army students there.
Alumni/Alumna
There is an alumni cell which is meant for the students and alumni to connect. They organize alumni meets that take place every year.
Exam Structure
Exams are more sort of a learning experience as we study the whole syllabus in one night and score good marks. There are live projects, group assignments etc for the whole process.
Faculty
When I joined WLCI I was under-confident regarding my talents, skills,etc. I knew my interests but I was not sure in which direction I should have focused. Thanks to our regressive teaching system, I think many students face these problems.
