Chaiatanya's Review On WLCI, New Delhi

WLC has given so me much of real world exposure during the Advertising and Graphic Design course I have learned more technicalities and have greater insight into the design process. It has given me the confidence to handle large accounts and demanding clients.

The process for the admission is to secure 50% in best four in 12th with respect to an exam called Creative Aptitude Test after which a round of group discussion followed by the personal interview of shortlisted candidates takes place.

The course involves study of Advertising, Communication Design, Art Direction, Branding & Strategy, Corporate Communication, Editorial Design, Animation, Photography, etc

The internship offered by the college is pretty good. There are companies that come up and some famous fashion designers also come and take students to make them learn about the whole process of designing and by giving practical knowledge about the subjects studied.

The process of placement involve a shortlisting of the CV, followed by a group discussion session. The selected candidates qualify for the next round of interview. Some good companies along with average ones visit the campus for the recruitment.

So many events like Fashion Show, Freshers' Party, Farewell happen at the college along with some days like Ethnic Day where all of the students are required to dress up in Indian attire, where all the girls look usually pretty, the boys steal the thunder with their pathani suits and salwars.

Fees for the curriculum is very high that is 6,00,000 for the whole course which has to be paid in installments every year. There is no provision for lumpsum payment here.

Scholarships are offered to the students who perform exceptionally well in the scholarship test that is taken at the time of admission. A nominal amount is deducted from the fees if the students score high in the test.

Life at WLCI is much sorted as we get to hang out at the cafeteria. Apart from that we gain so much learning experience and practical knowledge.

The college provides assistance for students accomodation and it is quite expensive for the students.

There are students who have graduated from this college and are currently working in good companies like LG, SIEMENS, ORACLE, IBM.

The pattern of exams is quite satisfying as we get the practical knowledge about the subjects and then the exams are based on that as well as the content which is taught in the classroom lectures

The faculty is amazing and are always by your side whenever you need any kind of assistance. Ms. Anamika Verma is a wonderful mentor as she has an experience of 20 years in the industry and she continues to provide extreme knowledge about corporate life and other related things.
