Remarks

I cherish the time spent at Hindu. I am sure and hope that the college would have evolved the infrastructure with time.

Entrance Preview

AISSCE, 85%. CBSE curriculum conducted exam for class XII. There was no interview process. I got admission through the cut off list.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was good. However all this was common for all DU colleges. Though it is bit theoritical. Some more practical aspects could have really helped in the long term.

Internships Opportunities

There was no such concept of internship for graduates. Hence can't really comment. Though we would have loved to get some industry experience for overall development.

College Events

They were plenty of events. We had our own college Fest. Students used to run around to get sponsorships etc. They used be a lot of action just before the fest, then we used to participate in the Fest of other colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was very reasonable. In fact, I think they should increase the fee and provide a better infrastructure. Compared to private universities, Delhi university was very reasonable.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not aware of that facility. I guess its more applicable in professional studies. Since the fee itself was very low. Hence loan facility was not used by most. I am not aware about any of the scholarship also.

Campus Life

Gender ratio was healthy. Many parties used to take place but mostly at individual level. College hosted only the Fest, that too was sponsored. Extra curricular activities were plenty but the facilities were not the best.

Hostel Facilities

I didn't stay in the hostel. But from what I could gather from classmates who were staying in the Hostel. It was average. no of room available vs requirement was very low.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Hindu does have a very reputed alumni profile. Many well know personalities appear in that list. Especially in the sports field. Many cricketers have passed out of hindu college.

Exam Structure

At that time exams used to be conducted once in a year. Hence it wasn't very hectic. Though all this was not college specific. In fact it was conducted centrally by Delhi University.

Faculty

I can talk about BCOM Honours faculty. It was good. But again the practical knowledge of the faculty was minimal. Though most of all the teachers were very well experienced.

Daulat ram college through the eyes of drcians

Placement Experience:

From the 2nd year our internship is started and after 2nd year i.e, in the starting of 3rd year we are eligible for campus placements. There are so many companies every year visit Daulat ram College for campus placement. Like:- Accenture, Wipro, Deloitte, KPMG, EY, ICICI, HDFC, DE Shaw, Amazon, and Zomato. I have CA in my mind after graduation.

Hands On experience !!

Placement Experience:

Students in my college can go for placements starting from 5th semester . many big companies including big four (4 ) visit the campus .The highest package was 23.5 lpa and median and avg package is 6.5 lpa .Most students who have got placements are 7 cgpa or above . Companies also provide intership opportunities for better placemnets .We also get guidance from resume building ,interviews and preparation .After finishing my degree I aim for placements and afterwards CAT forIIM's .

A beautiful memory

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the daulat ram course 8/10. One of the main reasons i chose this course was that the syllabus felt balanced between theory and practical understanding..but the only drawback is that sometimes it felt a bit more theory based rather than practical exposure , the exam pattern is consistent mid-sem internals and end-sem finals twice a year. Internals are usually manageable, but end-semester exams depend a lot on the teacher marking style.

The Placements in my college are decent. In third year, the students become eligible for campus placements whereas there is a huge event named INCREMENTUM for job and internship fair wherein many HR mangers from companies and Non profit organisations like Cognizen Innovations, Pehchaan - The Street School, etc. takes interviews of interested students for internships as well as jobs.

My pov of college

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is quite good, from 2nd or 3rd year students are eligible. Deloitte visited recently. I'm not aware about this, placements cells are made in college who take care of all this. A good amount of students get place, approx 20 students were placed this tym in Deloitte. I will be continuing with ACCA only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is as per Delhi University's official curriculum, so it's pretty good. But its very theoretical as well so if I would suggest an improvement it would be this to make the curriculum more real and practical life based rather than rote learning.

SRCC- Asia's Best college experience

Placement Experience:

Students of 3rd year are eligible for the same. Mckinsey, BCG, Bain, Blackrock, Meesho etc being the most prestigious recruiters. Highest package varies, but it went around 36 L last year. Avg being around 8 L. I would say most students who apply for placements get placed, however only a few get placed in the top companies. I personally wish to pursue an MBA.

Inside Hindu College : Beyond NIRF 1

Apart from Hindu College, i applied for a admission in Chemistry hons course at Banaras Hindu University and Allahabad University and I got the confirmed admissions in both but I chose Hindu College over others bcz of its reputation, NIRF topper(NIRF 1 all over India),etc. No, I didn't get any rejection from any college i applied for. Studying in the Hindu College is a novelty!!

Hailing from Rajasthan and coming to Delhi, i don't think a better bet than Hindus college ever exists. So, Hindu was the choice I made as I wanted to study at one not just best college of DU but best in the country tol for Zoology.
