Remarks
I really liked the Dduc college for its infrastructure. I applied for Bsc Physics (H) and got selected in the 2nd cut-off at 95% marks of 12th. The admission process was very simple. We were just needed to fill the required forms. There was no long waiting queue. we were seated in the library and were called one by one. Parents and Guardians were also provided with a waiting room so there was no meesed up situation.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had interest in Physics and wanted to pursue graduation in it so I opted for this course in DDUC The faculty of Physics is extremely good. Three teachers are of Professor level and one is a member of royal society of London. All of them are very good with a very deep knowledge of their respective subjects and are ready to help and motivate students. Sometimes they are strict also for the work and punctuality else very excellent teachers. The ratio of faculty to students is around 1:60 for theory classes but 1:20 for practical classes...as there are around 3-4 teachers in a practical class There are assignments and tests taken by the teachers and an end sem exam and that is easy if you study well.
Internships Opportunities
Internship are offered to the students. The placement cell , Enterpreneur cell and other departmental societies play very important role in these. Some get internships like campus ambassador, content writer and other may get internship related to their subjects.
Placement Experience
Most of the placements are for Commerce students but science students also get placed by the placement cell of the college. I remember there was a student who got placed at 4-5 lakh p.a. Most of the students prepare for government exams or higher studies and so am I.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees of the course are very nominal at around 17500 per year including the tuition fees and other social and annual fest fees. There is rarely any fee hike but if you are very meritorious or from the economically weaker section you may get the scholarship provided by the college.
Campus Life
The annual fest "Kalrav" is just amazing. Famous Punjabi singer Guri was there for the Star night. The fest is just amazing and can be enjoyed a lot. The library of the DDUC is just outstanding having 3 floors including one separate floor for the digital library. We can get books on any subject whether it's of our curriculum or something like Novels. There is a separate sports complex in college near the cafeteria it includes badminton court and table tennis. Also, there is the ground where students play and practice for football, cricket, baseball, archery, fencing. Aman Saini of our college won silver medal in Asian games also. There are many societies of dance, singing, writing, drawing, robotics, career, and many more. Each student can find a society of their interest.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is very good, though the price of Rs120000 may look much it's worth it. We can't find better rooms like the hostel at such a price nearby. Rooms are for 2 students and these rooms are very big (we used to play table tennis there) with an attached washroom and balcony. All the rooms have an AC cupboard almirah study table. everything for a student. Mess is also big with good food. We get 4 meals Breakfast, Lunch, dinner, and snacks. Sometimes the quality of food is not that good but it's compromisable. Registration for a hostel is also simple but it's only available for students outside NCR (we just need to fill the form). If seats are available we would get them easily. The pgs are around 500m away from college and at a decent price but not that worthy.
