Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

I feel my course, B.Sc(H) Electronics, is incredibly useless. I've learnt nothing actually uselful in the past two years. I feel like one has no choice but to pursue higher education because I'll be pleasantly surprised if I can find a job related to the field with just the bachelor's degree. I know that it is mostly a theoritcal course but the practical portion is absolutely terrible. What is the point of doing testing practicals? I feel like students should be taught electronic design but I guess that is way above what this course can provide. The exams however are incredibly easy. It has never been easier to pass in my life.

Placement Experience

2.5

One can easily view the placement statistics of our college on their website. The placement cell of the college manages the placement process. On first glance, it appears impressive. But most of the placements are in similar fields of commerce like consulting or finance, followed by Arts and Science courses getting the least amount of placements. I personally have no faith in my course getting me any placement. So I'm preparing for government exams anyways.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being a government college, it is quite affordable. My course costs around 25k annualy. The fees does increase every year. I saw an increase of 1k-2k in my course fees. Scholarships are provided every year. Those who require them can apply accordingly. Campus employmeny opportunities are not available.

Campus Life

3

Our college's annual fest took place this year after years of being cancelled. I always find such events to be quite mediocre. The college library is decent. A large collection of books is present to choose from. The classrooms are quite basic. Air conditioning doesn't work everywhere and few clasrooms have smart boards and projects. Many socities are present in college but few are active consistently. Mostly they hold workshops, which I've found to be not quite useful. I do have great classmates though and enjoy spending time with them.

Admission

The admission process is based on CUET scores. Based on that, your name is shortlisted. There is no interview process in my college. You just have accept your college allotment and pay the course fees. The entire admission process takes place on Delhi University's admission counselling website. Reservation benefts are available. Overall, the admission process is quite smooth and I faced no problems except some technical errors on the website.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty here while highly qualified are terrible at teaching. Being highly learned in a subject doesn't really translate to effective teaching ability. They are nice people thoough. Very approachable and understanding. The faculty- to- student ratio is perfectly fine in my class, since we're only about 30 students. But in some extra subjects and more popular courses like English or Commerce, there are a lot more students per teacher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course that i had opt for is one of the best courses available at the college itself It brings more experience and lessons for the science students and provides them with right learnings and practicals to be better in their area and to have the right knowledge These teachings were very elaborated and explained thoroughly. And the difficulty level of exams used to be somewhere between mid to a bit hard level.
