I had taken M. Tech admission in 2018 in Thermal science Engineering, the admission process was simple, first, we need to apply for KPGCET exam if you cleared GATE apply with GATE score and with ranking below 2000 you will get UVCE College and the fees for M. Tech is around 44000 per year and course duration is 2 years.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculty are highly qualified and about the classes, it differs from department to department, but most of the BE classes will go regularly but about M. Tech I'm not sure. It depends on the faculty who handles the subject for M. Tech self-study needed here and teachers also help if you need it. Encourages R and D work.
Internships Opportunities
For mechanical Faurecia, Textron, Volvo such a company provides internships but the stipend is based on the company and professors also provide a good reference for internship for final year students and overall all students will get internships and the placement department is handled by students itself.
Placement Experience
For CS and IT branches the placement is good for M. Tech mechanical very few will get jobs and internships. From the final year, students are eligible to get placed and based on the company percentage criteria the shortlisting is done.
Fees and Financial Aid
Talking about fees for M. Tech regular 44000/year during 2018 and SC/ST students will get a full scholarship from the government. If you are from GATE you will get a monthly stipend of 12400 for two years and also OBC students will get scholarships.
Campus Life
Talking about infrastructure the college reconstruction is going on need more time to set the infrastructure and furniture in the classroom, and the book availability is good but library maintenance system is very poor and it has old rules, you can't easily get the book you wanted.
