Remarks
Pursuing M.Tech from an NIT is a dream for many and with my will and hardworK I was able to secure a seat in this institute. NIT, Delhi was 35th in IndiaToday's 2020 rankings for Engineering and most importantly holds status; Institute of National Importance. Our institute is most popular for its BTech/ Mtech programmes while admissions for the M.Tech course are based on the GATE entrance score which is then followed by the counselling.
Course Curriculum Overview
NIT Delhi offer's Mtech across 6 different specialsitions and as I completed my BTech in CSE branch so I applied to pursue my Master's in the same specialisation. A total of 15 students were there in our branch because of which all of us got superior individual guidance from the teachers. The M.Tech course of NIT Delhi included 4 semesters and throughout the programme we got a lot of opportunities to learn and interact with researchers, industrialists and practitioners of the field
Internships Opportunities
The experience was great throughout the working days of my internship offers, they delivered the exact exposure I wanted to get and an additional benefit for me was that the senior workers there helped me a lot which itself turned out to be a bonus for my growth.
Placement Experience
NIT Delhi's CSE specialisation is the most popular one and that implies on both BTech and MTech programmes. For my batch of 2020, companies such as Tata consultancy, Microsoft, Flipkart, Samsung, Capgemini, HCL technologies & Amazon were present in the campus placements. I was happy to know that the highest salary was bagged by our department only while the average package was INR 11 lpa . The recruiters in the drive included some famous foreign names too.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Our institute, NIT Delhi have a feasible structure for M.Tech- CSE as per which we were charged a total of INR 3.75 Lacs for the whole Programme, including exam fee, tuition fee etc. The students applying for hostel accommodation must pay added charges for the same. Students with great scores in the entrance score got merit based scholarships and students of SC/ST category had to pay INR 99,200 for the programme.
Campus Life
Our institute fulfilled all our Industrial requirements through the activities it organised for this purpose. The technical fest at NIT Delhi was the most popular event among our programme while the convocation day, sports day and cultural fest were also conducted on a big scale. The library of our college had content for UG & PG courses of technical & other domains also. For arrangement of all academic and cultural activities, separate club's were established while the students council took care of most of the things.
Hostel Facilities
It was important for me Individually to pursue my MTech in hostels because I've done the same during my graduation and it turned out to be great for my academic performance. The facilities at NIT Delhi were totally justifying for the great name it had and overall the institute has a capacity to provide residence services to nearly 300 students. Our rooms were decent and were alloted on sharing basis, while the views for mess services had a little bit of debate but as per my personal opinion they were equally good
Admission
For admissions to the M.Tech programme students must have a great academic profile and must have Graduation in the relevant field from an recognised institute. Scores of candidates in GATE entrance exam are noted & then CCMT counselling procedure is there for the seats allocation.
