Course Curriculum Overview

5

Curriculum is relevant with strong core CSE subjects that influenced my choice. It builds fundamentals for jobs and higher studies but needs more industry projects. Exams are mid and end sem, both are moderate to difficult level as per the need of engeenioring.

Internships Opportunities

5

NIT Delhi offers strong internships opportunities, especially for CSE department students. Companies loke Amazone, Google, Microsoft, Intel, Meesho offer roles in software development, data analytics, and Artificial intelligence. Stipends range INR15000-80000. Projects include app development, Machine learning models, and product designing , with measurable outcomes

Placement Experience

5

Placement at NIT Delhi are good for CSE department. Students are eligible from 7th semester for their placement. Companies like Amazone, Oracle, Goldman sachs visit. Highest placement in 2025 was 58LPA , average package was 17LPA . And around 100% students get placed . I plan to start a business after completing my graduation..

Fees and Financial Aid

At NIT Delhi(B.Tech CSE) the fee structure varies with family income category but overall mostly stable with minor increase over year. For 2025-26, per semester fee (GEN/OBC/EWS with income >5LPA) are INR106500 which include tution fee, institute fee, admission and annual charges. With hostel(non AC) its INR144500 per semester. For families 1-5 LPA , INR102500 per semester including non AC hostel..and for <1LPA SC/ST/PWD its only INR82000. Total fee for 4 year =INR6.3-10.3 lakhs depends on catagory. Scholarships/Financial aid: Tution fee wavier if income <1LPA. Partial wavier for income 1-5 LPA. SC/ST/PWD fee concessions as per govt. norms. Merit-cum-need & govt scholarships available via NSP/Jansamarth portals.

Campus Life

3

Campus life at NIT Delhi is vibrant or not so good due to limited area of campus. Annual fest Inspire(Feb) and tech fest Innovation (Mar) are highlights. Library has wide books/ journals; classrooms have smart tech board. Sports, clubs and student portals enhance learning and social interaction, creating a balanced campus experienced.

Admission

I choose NIT Delhi for its NIT Tag, affordable fees, good peer group, and Delhi location. I applied DTU/NSUT/IIITD, and some private colleges like VIT. But i missed that due to mt rank in JEE Mains. Admission process in NIT Delhi is totally done by JOSSA by using your JEE Mains rank. Process was so smooth and merit based.

Faculty

5

NIT Delhi has a good faculity to student ratio of around 1:15, which allows decent intresction between students and professors. Most faculty members are approachable during office hours, labs and projects discussions. The overall faculty - student relationship is professional and many many professors are supportive when it comes to acedmics, research guidance and higher studies. I like all faculty. The course includes DSA, OS, CN, DBMS and elective from 5th semester..Each semezter has mid sem , end sem exam, assignments, viva, projects, and continious evaluation. Exams are moderate to difficult and logic based. Some students get backlog in math and core subjects. Overall curriculum is relevant and rigorous, helping in placements and higher studies both.

Night Life

4

Nightlife at NIT Delhi is lively uet safe. Hostels close by 11PM , after that not any student allowed to go out of the hostel. Libray closed by 9PM, Gym and Cafeterias closed by 10:30 PM. Popular hangouts include campus lawns, mess and nearby place like DLD Cyber Hub. Students unwind with friends, coding sessions, or sports, making college life balanced.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

Placement Experience:

The placements are in good terms, many students get a placement with nice package. Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd Semester. TCS made about 7 offers as far as I know. One can expect the highest package of 2.5crore and an average of 200000. About 80% of students gets placement because of the skills they learned wheres the rest 20% are only at college to do mischievous acts. After getting the degree, I will find a job and then after enough capital I will start my own startup.

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
