Remarks

The deemed to be university had an online exam based on aptitude and knowledge of the subjects(physics, chemistry, and maths). The minimum cutoff was 40 percent after which i was called to Bangalore to give an interview and after the interview round i had a final meeting with the dean of the university and my admission was confirmed

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Btech in computer science has the most experienced faculties and they also aid me in training me for the corporate world by incorporating small things in my daily life. The faculty's teachings methods though are old school but it is very effective and comfortable for us students. Moreover, the faculties are ready to aid at any given point by even teaching you in the library and helping out with assignments. The term papers and exams are up to the mark by which i mean that if i study the basics i can pass but if i have to score full marks i have to learn a lot.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The university has links with a lot of companies and during my second year i was offered internships by my faculties but I didn't sign up for it as i already secured an internship from Internshala at a startup nearby to where i live.

Placement Experience

4

I'm still in my 3rd year so the amount of knowledge about placement is still not sure but my seniors have been placed at the maximum of 20lakhs and the companies are the usual ones like google amazon etc. We have 90 percent of placements claimed by the university. After getting the degree i would work for work experience and then proceed for my masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is that of the usual private colleges but it is very manageable and the scholarship they offer to students are also up to the private college's standards. The cost to study is also cheap if you consider that the hostel facilities are provided for 40k a year. Fees increase by 10 percent but it is reasonable as the labs are up to the mark and technology was on point.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus is green and clean it is one of the green campuses in the country so it is very amazing to see that happening. There are two libraries one for engineering and architecture and one for MBA which has mostly all the books required for research and practice. There are many issues like strictness at the campus and it is very far off from the main city. There are many activities that keep happening all around the campus and a few organizations run by students like litsoc and also campus-provided organizations like CAPS and CSA. The campus life is good and there is not a sport i can think of except for golf and swimming that we cannot play at the campus, from table tennis to lawn tennis they have everything. The annual fest Magnovite is also run by students only overlooked by the faculties is the best thing that happens in the year and we have ethnic days and the engineers day which show cultural and educational activities.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostels are available in three sharing and four sharing with a common washroom which are cleaned daily and always kept in the best of shape. The hostel is cheap and the food depends upon the choice of the student to choose from the 7 canteens available in the campus which are affordable and taste very good. The registration process is online and the fees after first year is paid through south indian bank account which will be made for the students on their admission. Hostel is available for 35k a year for three sharing and 32k for two sharing with 5k as security deposit. The hostel even though is very good it is very strict too. It feels mostly like a prison and there are biometric sign in and sign out which have to be done before 8:30 am and the evening sign in which has to be done before 9:30pm failure of which will cause a fine of 100 ruppees

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”
