Entrance Preview
I took WBJEE (2010) for engineering. My aim to was to explore the various parts of electronics and communication through fundamental and practical knowledge. My college was established on 2010 and we were the first of B.Tech in that newly build campus. The good infrastructure and great faculties from eminent institutions had attracted me most that time.
Course Curriculum Overview
The B.Tech course here was designed by West Bengal University of Technology (MAKAUT, formerly known as WBUT) and the curriculum, internal exam structure in the responsibility of the college. The periodic exam structure is good here and the college puts a focus on gaining practical knowledge on the engineering subjects. The labs are well equipped and the faculties show interest in building various practical projects.
Internships Opportunities
I didn't experience any such internship program. In the B.Tech curriculum there is a provision of internship or industry training after 6th semester. College provides their input in that part,but one student can arrange that of his/her own as well.
Placement Experience
In engineering, placement plays an important role. The college usually conducts a pre-placement training and that is really good. In terms of placement opportunities, here one can have some campus recruitment. The opportunities in Pool Campus and Off campus varies time to time. One have keep an eye on these news to avail the platform.
College Events
Every year the college organises a Tech-fest. Participation of all the students are allowed here. The event itself is a good platform of learning and knowledge sharing. A college fest is also organised every year and active participation of the students and faculties enlighten the program .Apart from this every year the college organises an Alumni.
Exam Structure
I have mentioned earlier that, the internal exam structure in good here and very much same as that of other engineering colleges of West Bengal. The semester exams are organised by the university and that is same for all college under it. Apart from this the structure of Assignments, projects are good here.
Faculty
Some of the faculties were really experience and well qualified. Their own work will say all for themselves. And to be frank faculties in a college may change from time to time. So, my detailed feedback with respect to the time period 2010-2014 may not be 100% useful later.
