Remarks

Cut off for Hindu college was too high, which means 99percent in 2019 and 99.25 in the year 2020. The process begins with registration first. After some days cut off came college wise. As the procedure was offline at that time, I went to a particular college and the system of Hindu college is so managed and the seniors were also so helpful that I did not face any problem. However, I get admission into the 3rd cut list when it came down to 96percent as my bfs was 96.7percent. documents required only 10 and 12 class mark sheets and reservation or quota certificates if any. A Photocopy shop is also there in college so that to get photocopies of our forms we had not to go to any nearby area, which saves time. The seniors And students from different organisations like NSUI and ABVP were there to solve our queries related to admission. I applied for the hostel but did not get it as my other batchmates have more marks than me. The hostel procedure is also based on marks and department wise.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Our batch consists of 96 students. Most of the students including me choose this particular course because we want to pursue dor civil services UPSC. Faculty is good of our department, as we know in pandemic time faculty helped a lot. Regular classes via different platforms mainly google meet are taking place. Exams were held 2 times, in December and in May. But because of the pandemic, we were promoted through internals in our second semester and ABE (assessment based examination)in 4th semester. If you study or attending regular classes, exams are not so tough.

Placement Experience

3

Placement for political science department students is few. recently we get a proposal from the Amar Ujala newspaper but there is the least placement. ya, if you have very cool writing skills you can definitely get a benefit in terms of placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure we can say is average means it is approx 16000per year. Scholarships are not so much for the political science department. If it is there (if any) for economically weaker sections it is negligible even did not cover the half of tuition fees.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual fest of our college is Mecca, but our auditorium was under construction and later corona came, so we were unable to attend any mecca yet. Department fests like ORF, Polity are there which were brilliant to develop your debating skills etc The library is full of books. You can get most of the books on your syllabus there. The classrooms are very neat and clean. proper lighting. in some of the classes, the air conditioner is there. The sports complex is also there which is big and you can play there mainly volleyball. Various societies are there like vaagmi for debate and all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is rigid, teaching methods are not immersive and are boring. As a humanities student, curriculum is more about knowing different theories and how they are applicable in the contemporary world. Teaching methods should be more immersive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Not curriculum but i had humanities back then in school and i love political science anyday so i just picked it up. As far as the second point is concerned so political science is all about real world issues. You step out of your home and every action you do is shaped by your political decisions i.e democracy. Improvements could be done in arrangement of syllabus. Frequency and timing is perfect but the difficulty level should be increased.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Was interested in political science, how it affects the life around. Not very well . Mostly theoretical, not very keen on contemporary aspects but does build understanding of ongoing events . More real world examples and less focus on HPT.

The percentage of students getting placement is almost 70 percent. My plans after getting the degree is going for cuet pg to get admission for postgraduation courses in Delhi... particularly JNU
