Remarks
I secured 9500 ranks in WBJEE and through the counselling, I selected WBUAFS, Mohanpur campus,stream-Dairy Technology (B.tech) Though I didn't stay in a hostel I got information about the hostel from my classmates that the environment of the hostel is disciplined and systematic. In a single room, 3 students can stay.3 fans,3 desks and accessories are available in the room. Hostel food is a really good nutrient. Salient features of college- 1.On- campus hostel 2.Internet facility 3.medical cell 4.laboratories 5.Gymnasium 6.Canteen 7.Bank and ATM counter 8.Games and Sports facility 9.Well- equipped library All the faculties are highly qualified and most of them are friendly with students. There are few professors whom you can consider as a role models. Good academic environment Placement activities are good and through the seminar, workshop, conferences they try to guide students before placement season on the interview process and preparation. Students get benefits from all these programmes.
Course Curriculum Overview
All the faculties are highly qualified and some of them are very friendly with students. There are few professors whom you can consider as a role models. There were 2 semesters in every year. And there are some class tests conducted by the teachers. Teachers give regular tasks like assignments, making ppt, conducting group discussions etc.
Internships Opportunities
In every even semester, there is some field project work and in the 7th semester, there is 6 month dairy plant training programme which is really important for this 4 year dairy technology course. All the students get a stipend of Rs. 18000 after completing the internship.
Placement Experience
After the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like Nestle, Amul, ITC, Red Cow, Mother Dairy, Metro Dairy come for the placement. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. The average sala package offered is 5.5 LPA. And 100% of students get placements. Students can get various types of jobs like a Dairy technologist, dairy development officer, farm manager etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
During the admission process,, I had paid around Rs. 9500. The actual fee is around 50000 in 4 years. Our college provides internships, seminars, workshops, conferences, training which helps us to groom ourselves in campus interviews.
Campus Life
Sports are mainly conducted in mid of the winter season. And our annual fest is conducted mainly in Feb and March.
