Remarks

The admission process starts by filling the admission form of DU on an online portal. Then you register for the entrance exam -DUJAT. Then the list with students names is released and the college and course are provided according to preference. The college has been providing immense support, opportunity and resources even after being online. I would have been lucky if it would be offline.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is really underrated. The subject variety and opportunities are immense and if you really understand it you have good in your hands truly. The student and teacher ratio is 1:26 which is pretty good according to me comparing other courses and colleges. The teachers have completed Master and PhD level education. It has 6 total Semesters and 2 exams per year.

Internships Opportunities

The placement cell does the job of providing internship opportunities for students. There are many paid and unpaid internships depending on one's interest. For example, there was an opportunity for 1st-year students from all the course for sales and marketing in decathlon. The stipend was 7000-8000 per month.

Placement Experience

Our placement cell-WINGS. It provides internship opportunities and placement to graduates throughout the year. It is one of the most active and hardworking cells in our college. You will find great people and you need not wait for them to tell you about opportunities, you can yourself use the website and find jobs suitable for you.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is slightly high compared to other courses. We pay 22000 for a year, which is a really good amount compared to others. Our college provides scholarships to needy students. This information can be taken from the admin desk on the college premises.

Campus Life

Being in the online mode there has been no such outing or fest due to COVID, but before that, the college held different meets and fests for students. There are many celebrities like Siddharth Malhotra who have been guests at our college. There are numerous societies and clubs you can join, one of my favs is the fashion society. You can also have sports and gym facilities inside the college. Departments hold their fest throughout the year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is something that can have improvements. For example I am studying C++ in my computer minor class which is becoming less and less relavent as compared to a lamguage like python. Alot of job prospects require students to know a language like R so I feel things like that should be taught so that the course cam make a student more real world ready.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course requires a lot of analytical and logical thinking. The scope is quite wide in my course without having any professional degree too like research, analytics, finance manager etc. This course gives opportunity to gain applied skills and as we are dealing with quantitaive aspects our statistics also gets better with time. Few improvements which i would like suggest are that their should more practical and real life knowledge, currently it is very theoritically heavy. Teaching online softwares must be compulsoury so that we remain updated with technology.

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are pretty good. The placement cell of my college is pretty active and facilitataes the placement process. Companies like Deloitte, EY and PWC often come to our college for placements with the average package being Rs. 8,00,000. After getting this degree, i will pursure another degree in MBA or I might also take a part in the placement process and pursue an MBA later. Students in semester 6 and further can take part in the placement process but there are internship fairs and summer internship programmes for students who are not eligible for placements

I applied to almost all colleges offering the course that i have chosen, i got confirmed admissions in majority of them, however I chose this college because of it's location, unique exposure and the faculty. However, some of the colleges I applied to rejected me too, as this course is highly competitive and very few colleges offer this course, I acknowledge that I am not the best and hence I lost my spot in those colleges. Interest in Business and Economics and getting a DU Degree is the only reason to go here in 2025.

There are only 10 colleges offering BBE in Delhi University. So, therefore, the course is high in demand. It is a professional course so the college is still in the process of adapting to a professional setting. I applied for all other colleges offering BBE in DU, and got admitted here via the Common University Entrance Exam (CUET). My preference was to go to Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce to pursue this same course, but the cutoff for the same is very high.
