Remarks

There is a ratio of marks for admission through Dujat courses. 65% is for Dujat and 35% for 12th marks. I got 3177 rank and general category so I got admission in the last spot round. Maths is compulsory.

Course Curriculum Overview

Maharaja Agrasen College has several departments under different streams of arts, commerce, and science. The faculty is divided on the basis of these departments. There is a total of 57 teaching staff available in total for the Arts stream, For Commerce, there are 25 faculty members available, MAC has around 37 science faculty available on campus.

Maharaja Agrasen College, Delhi constitutes an active Training and Placement centre within the campus that looks into the matter of recruitment. The training cell imparts in student’s communication skills, managerial skills, and other capabilities Frequent workshops are being conducted for students by experts. Apart from recruitment drives, the placement cell also conducts internship opportunities with various sectors including media, banking, management, etc. Some of the firms that participated in job fairs include Vibgyor, Go Air, Vistara, Yatra, Oyo, Prime Focus, Den, Travel Triangle among others.

Campus Life

The college apart from imparting education emphasizes overall student development as well. Frequent sports and cultural activities are conducted which witnesses high student participation. Other facilities on campus include the following: Library: MAC has a fully automated library with over 36594 books, 13 newspapers, 28 magazines, and print journals. Library also has access to 6000 e-journals, a reading room, and facilities for visually impaired students as well Hostel: MAC has hostel accommodation available for girls with a capacity of around 58 students. Admissions to hostels are based on merit Laboratories: There are full-fledged laboratories for learning including computer labs, integrated labs, electronics, and physics lab Training and Placement cell: An active placement cell conducts seminars, workshops, and annual placement drives for eligible students of final year IGNOU: MAC is also a study centre for PG courses by IGNOU, where classes are conducted on weekends

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

Placement Experience:

SRCC has one of the best campuses and our basketball court is so famous that many movies too have been promoted and shot there. Our campus is big too and our auditorium is such that many top personalities have come and spoken there. I chose this college based on infrastructure as there wasn't much information available about this college online. Alsoz on the du official website, this college is mentioned as North campus which was a confusion for me at that time as I thought it was true but it wasn't as this is an off campus college of Delhi University. The admissions in the whole of University of Delhi is based on CUET scores. The preferences need to be filled by the students and then he/she is allotted the college according to the cit off and the scores. The subjects that need to be taken in cuet should be the same as in 12th boards. For humanities/arts courses the scores are out of 800. So, for arts courses the normal cit off for general category students are around 650, for obc students around 500 and for sc/st is much lower....Read More

MAC is magnificent!!

Same as CUET as all the colleges listed under DU has the same process. Its not that 12th percentage are ignored they too are calculated but ultimately the winner is CUET. Definitely MAC was not the first choice as it was the Hindu College but never mind MAC was good too....Read More

My personal experience of MAC

Earlier I got admission in Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar college university of Delhi but Then I got this one in second round of admission. And I choose this one because of it's fee structure that is less compared to others. And for the admission you have to appear in common university entrance test (CUET) conducted by NTA then you have to apply for the admission through Delhi University's counselling process which is common seat allocation system CSAS then according to your score and college preference you'll get your admission....Read More
