Satisfactory Infrastructure and Faculty

I applied to KIIT, Orrisa but the reason behind not attending it was the distance. I preferred my homeland. No quota I had during admission. I availed for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, when my age was 18 after giving many competitive examinations. My counseling day was very interactive with the sir who interviewed me. He asked me about my school and about my interests in my stream. After that, an admission examination was being held, and many more. After the whole process, I got admission here.

I chose this course because I have a lot of interest in the Computer Science field. And I preferred this stream to gain knowledge more from this course. Every section in my faculty holds 60 students in every class. Well qualified professors are there for us. They listen to us too and come across many mentoring and doubt clearing sessions also. Feedbacks are being taken every semester. Teaching quality is good as well in online platforms too. It is also course curriculum relevant as many aptitude classes and webinars are being taken to get ready for the future. Now the current teaching method is an online platform due to covid situations but using good methods and techniques for teaching my faculty can teach us properly as it does in a real classroom. Exams are being taken monthly and the end semester is taken every 6 months. To pass the exam we students have to work hard and listen to our teachers, this helps us a lot.

The internship opportunities are available in my college. In the last semester or my 2nd semester, I was being selected for round 1 from my college for the ADOBE company internship. I was unfortunate to not get the opportunity but one of my seniors did get that internship, with a 1 lakh stipend in our college. That was my first experience with the internship process I came across. More to get in future internships and projects from the college possibly.

From the 3rd year, most students become eligible for campus placements as I know from my seniors. It is often discussed in boot camps and aptitude classes about employability and plans after completion of the course which encourages us a lot about placement.

The fee structure is quite fair. The cost to study for my entire course is 4 lakhs approx. One scholarship was being provided to me from the college on the basis of my 12th-grade result. I have no idea about other details related to fee structure and opportunities for scholarship, financial assistance, or campus jobs.

There are many annual fest and tech fest being conduct every semester. A lot of books and journals are available in the library as per students' requirements. Indoor and Outdoor playing space and a good race ground are also there. Different sports rooms are available such as tennis, carrom, musical instrumentation room, etc.

I didn't face any kind of group discussion. My father and I were being interviewed by one of the faculty members of Brainware during admission. After that they took a written test for admission and the topics asked were relevant to my course topic. I wasn't prepared for all this but it went well.
