Remarks

Well, the college was an excellent place of learning and development. It inculcated a good sense of grooming and mannerisms and above all the best in class knowledge about the subjects and hospitality industry in general. Everything was good about the course in general. However, the campus was a little small and there were no ample college fests as one does expect this from their college life. On top of it, the campus placements are also good, it's just that the Industry standards are very low in terms of remuneration. The overall ROI would qualify to be poor as the current situation has wrecked the hospitality industry and there are no good jobs that are offered to freshers. Even for the fact that children have to undergo a mandatory training in a hotel, this also has become difficult for students to get into because of the current situation.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The curriculum is quite vast and it is a great course for someone who craves for knowledge and customer interaction. You are groomed to go above and beyond to service your customers which are regarded as your guests. Talking of faculty, it's just top notch, who have an extensive knowledge about the field and can counsel you well.

Placement Experience

3

Campus placements are quite good if we consider the percentage of students placed every year. However, the package offer might not be very satisfying and the ROI is quite poor. The good thing however is that there were ample opportunities for students to explore in various brands prior to this pandemic. In the present scenario, this industry is completely wrecked and worst hit, and there are no good opportunities in the near future.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There has been a fee raise on annual basis since the time I joined. Scholarships are given to the reservation classes, however there is no other financial assistance. The job placements were quite extensive and don't just cater to a specific cohort of people. You can choose to be a part of the subject of your preference when talking in terms of taking up a job. Good reputed brands like Marriott, The Oberoi group, Taj hotels etc. are amongst the top recruiters.

Campus Life

4

The life at campus is amazing. There are different clubs like the organising club, f&b club, the kitchen club, the editorial board etc. to which one can enter easily. However, there is a panel interview that is conducted for the editorial board.

Students from 4rth year are eligible for placement. Pgi provide job for it's own students. Bond system is here. Students can apply for foreign jobs as pgi provide their degree and a sheet with completed number of hours as in clinical we need 100% attendance. Students who don't want to work in pgi can go to different hospitals as pgi is a recognized university they will get job easily. 80% students get job in pgi. As many new blocks are building here for future, they will require large amount of nursing officers so they will give job to their own university students. Some senior got their job with a high amount as salary with health benefits, hostel allowanc, travel allowance, and tax is included. Working hour are less here, people can switch there shifts with there workmates as per there convince. My plan is to work here as a nursing officer and do my master degree from pgi itself.
