Remarks

IHM, Chandigarh ranks at 3 position all over India. It is under central government. The discipline and faculty is great. Moreover, this college has 100% CAMPUS PLACEMENTS. The Campus is Anti-Ragging Campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

In second Year, we are send for Industrial Training for 4 months in 5-Star Hotels through college or walk in interviews. In my opinion, I think Ekta Ma’am and Suyasha Ma’am are really good. Their way of teaching is really good.

Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I interned in Hotel JW Marriott, Chandigarh for 4 months. The stipend given was ?1200/month. The interviews are arranged by college or we can also give walk ins.

Placement Experience

Many hotel, QSRs comes to the college for campus placements. Students interested in the company sit for the campus. The company explains themselves to the students through a presentation. Then, Group Discussions are held. Students who are shortlisted, then, sit for personal interviews.

The College organises annual events like Freshers, Sports Day, Annual Day, Teachers Day and Farewell. Moreover, also participates in different initiative like, Swachh Bharat, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is purely available on Merit basis. One room is given to 3 people. The hostel seats are few. It has a mess with a TV, and a gym with few equipment. Sports like, Badminton and Table Tennis are available.

PEC life in a nutshell

Inside of PGI chandigarh from bsc nursing point of view.

Placement Experience:

Students from 4rth year are eligible for placement. Pgi provide job for it's own students. Bond system is here. Students can apply for foreign jobs as pgi provide their degree and a sheet with completed number of hours as in clinical we need 100% attendance. Students who don't want to work in pgi can go to different hospitals as pgi is a recognized university they will get job easily. 80% students get job in pgi. As many new blocks are building here for future, they will require large amount of nursing officers so they will give job to their own university students. Some senior got their job with a high amount as salary with health benefits, hostel allowanc, travel allowance, and tax is included. Working hour are less here, people can switch there shifts with there workmates as per there convince. My plan is to work here as a nursing officer and do my master degree from pgi itself.
