Entrance Preview

I gave cbse exams ,scored 95% and this college ranked very well in my preferred stream. So I went and filled the form and got through.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum followed is pre-decided by Delhi University. its a very comprehensive and thorough course which teaches one about the core competencies of the subject. DU has one of the toughest economics courses which prepares one for further education in the subject.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college does not provide an internship. One must find one on their own. However there is a lot of connections within the college and lots of notices to keep you updated.

Placement Experience

3

Its just fine. Placement opportunities are few since most of the students are only graduates. We may however get placed as entry level employees at companies like ernst and young ,KPMG , evalueserve among others.

College Events

4

There are too many events that are held throughout the year right from freshers to farewell. There are departmental fests. There are also society competition. There is a quiz fest called High-Q which is held in february.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite feasible. Most courses in Delhi University are quite inexpensive since the university caters to students from all kinds of economic backgrounds. The general fee ranges from 8000-9000 bucks per year. Books have to be bought separately but that too is an affordable affair.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are prizes given out to toppers in a year. other than that there is no such loan facility. This is mostly because of the inexpensive nature of the institution.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I havent lived in a hostel. The university has a women's hostel in the north campus and is working on expanding it. Most people who were outstation students preferred Paying Guest Accommodations near colleges. There are plenty of these and easy to find, Customised according to the price range and other preferences.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is as good as one lets them be. If one is socially active , the connections can be for life and be quite helpful.

Exam Structure

The college follows the university examination structure. There are a few internal assessments during a semester which are awarded a total of 25 marks persubject At the end of each semester there is a half yearly or annual exam depending on which semester has been concluded. Each examination is for 75 marks. There are a total of 6 semesters.

Faculty

3.5

1st year was full of foundational courses however the second and third year had well educated bright , young teachers who helped us gain not only theoretical but also some practical experience. There were about 4 subjects and amazing teachers per subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in theoretical subjects. Even in my school time, I liked theory subjects more than practical or numerical subjects. This is one of the reason I chose this specific course. Another reason is that I like reading non fictional novels. At the age of 15, I started reading novels but after diving into this course I'm liking the fictional novels too. I don't think this course needs to improve anything. It is in it's best form at the point.

Placement Experience:

I think students become eligible for campus placements in 5th semester as now they are mature enough to be given such responsibility and to secure their future. I am not aware about the number of companies and offers. I am also not aware about the highest or lowest package offered but the average package for my college is ?6.5 lakhs per annum. The cgpa should be above 7.5 for better chances of getting placements. My plan is to get a good college placement in starting of the 5th semester.
